Colors by Llarowe: Oxen - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Colors by Llarowe
Oxen

Oxen is a tightly scattered holographic polish is a deep oxblood shade - sort of a red plum with a violet purple holo center. It's part of the Winter 2013 Collection. And yes, I've already been asked how it compares to Unorthodox Annie. Unorthodox Annie is more of a bruised plum (browner undertones) with a tight linear brown/copper/bronze/royal blue rainbow. So yeah, you need both LOL! The formula and application are the same though. Smooth and easy and opaque in two coats. I used 2 coats and no top coat for the photos.

Artificial lighting...

Indirect natural lighting...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember when Unorthodox Annie dethroned Dirty Diana as my favorite CbL? Well move over UA - Oxen is in town. The only reason I like Oxen more is because I prefer a tightly scattered holo to a strong linear holo. Yeah, I'm weird. What do you think?

  2. Hmmm, I didn't think I needed this because I had Diana and Annie. Now...not so sure!! Maybe this is your fault and you just make them all look so good!! :D

  3. Dang...I thought oxen was less purple based on the swatch in the listing. I thought it was a deep red...

    1. That's what I thought. These colors all look alike-- sad to say.
