Bellisimo Signature Clutch Collection - Swatches and Review

*This product is Cruelty Free

Bellisimo
Signature Clutch Collection

I don't know anyone who likes nail polish who wouldn't LOVE to get this as a gift. The clutch is awesome, well-made and you get a base and top coat along with 6 great shades. It would be great to take with you on vacation - all nestled in their lil beds inside the clutch!

There are even sewn-in loops to hold your polishes securely when they're not in the box.

Swatches and review after the jump...

Calgary Flame is a flaming red jelly - opaque in 2 coats. No top coat for the photos. No issues to report with formula or application.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brisbane Beaches is a soft golden neutral frosty shade. I used 2 coats and no top coat for the photos. It's a little brush-strokey but not like the old streaky frosts of the 70s and 80s. Golden shimmer highlights the glowy effect it has going on. No issues to report.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Naples Night Out is a deep, oxblood red jelly. Opaque in 3 coats. No top coat for the photos. If you love the vampy reds, this one is great. No issues at all.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jerusalem Stone is sheer neutral that would look much better on skin darker than mine. I've used 4 coats here (on all but the middle finger) with no top coat and it's a jelly that dries to a super high shine. It's too yellow-leaning for me to wear alone but I can see myself using this in nail art though, but not alone.

Parisian Princess is a sheer soft girly pink jelly. I've used 4 coats here on the middle finger with no top coat. This one actually doesn't look bad with my skin tone as I expected. I think it's pale enough to look good on pale and dark skin alike.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Portifino Pink is the only shimmer creme of the group and it's a well-pigmented medium pink with silver shimmer. No issues to report on this one either, but be sure and use light coats and let it dry a bit between coats as it's not 100% self-leveling.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had no issues at all with the base or top coats either. The top coat wasn't used on any of these swatches so you could see the actual finish, but I've used it on other manis and it dries relatively quickly and with a high shine.

What do you think? Is this something you'd like as a set with the case?

This Collection Clutch set retails for $150 and can be purchased at Bellisimo's site here.

  3. Great polishes and fantastic presentation. The only color I'm not jiving with is Jerusalem Stone, it makes me think smoker, sickness or 'I never uses base coats'... any which way, eek!
