Colors by Llarowe: Smoke Gets in Your Eyes LE

*This product is Cruelty Free

I have another Limited Edition polish to show you from Colors by Llarowe. There are two launching January 15, 2014. To see the other one, Good Golly Miss Molly, see my post here. This one is called Smoke Gets in Your Eyes.

Colors by Llarowe
Smoke Gets In Your Eyes LE

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes is a taupe-based color-shifting polish that can be worn alone or as a topper over other shades.

Continued after the jump...

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes is described by the maker as "a Khaki tinted smokey taupe scattered holo with copper shimmer" and I agree with the color description but I noticed more of a color-shifting shimmer than a scattered holo with copper shimmer. I'm seeing green, gold and copper color-shifting shimmer. The shifts are gold, copper, green and red, although the copper and green were the ones I captured - try as I might, the red shift escaped my camera but it was there in real life!

over black, full sun...

over black, artificial lighting...

Straight on, you see the taupe base but at an angle, all you see are the awesome color-shifts.

So what do you think of this one? I actually quite liked it alone and over a black base!

I also tried it over Illamasqua Vice and that was super cool as well.

Launching January 15th, 2014! And this is a one pour only polish - limited edition.

  2. It is beautiful on you but the kind of color that would be blah on my skin tone. Seeing it over Vice gives a better possibility-- but worth going over launch war to get? Not sure.
