Girly Bits
What Happens in Vegas...Ends Up on Instagram

What Happens in Vegas...Ends Up on Instagram is a bright raspberry-fuchsia scattered holographic polish, with flashes of glowy purple micro glitter and bright pink micro glitter. Great formulas - no issues to report. It's way blingier in person than the photos show. It kept freaking out my camera and I couldn't even get a macro except in the shade! Two coats with one coat of top coat for the photos.

Artificial lighting...

Indirect natural lighting...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is one of my favorite colors so naturally I fell for it. What do you think?

This is a limited time only shade that goes on sale August 21, 2014 and she will be taking orders ONLY through August 31, 2014. Last year's What Happens in Vegas...Ends Up on Facebook will also be available again and only for the same time frame. $12.00 Each.

Girly Bits polishes are available on their site here.  Don't forget to follow Pam at Girly Bits on Facebook and on her blog for updates and re-stock information.

Zoya MatteVelvet Re-Issues - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*These products are Cruelty Free

♥

Good morning! Today I have some swatches for you of the 4 MatteVelvet polishes being re-released by Zoya. I did these swatches quite a while back, but I never posted them because, well, they were discontinued and I didn't want to send people scrambling for something not easily found. I also did swatches of some of the others (cough *Harlow* cough) but today I just have the 4 that ARE easily available now from Zoya.com. Of course they are limited edition, so if you want them, now is the time!

Zoya MatteVelvets

These polishes (still 5-free and cruelty free) are matte finish polishes that are so popular right now. It's no surprise that they've been resurrected for this holiday season! The only surprise is that the most popular one, Harlow, isn't among them. Of course Harlow wasn't part of this original collection and it's not necessarily as "winter" as these. But maybe they will bring it back one day. One can hope!

Because these are matte finish, they are formulated to be worn without a base coat or a top coat. They dry very quickly and do NOT like to be over-manipulated. Plus, if you have imperfections, they will definitely show with these polishes. If you'll notice in my photos, you can see the ridges in my nails.

Just a quick NOTD for you this afternoon - but boy is is a GOOD one! Girly Bits What Happens in Vegas...Ends Up on Facebook.

What Happens in Vegas...Ends Up on Facebook is a dusty, rosy, eggplant shimmer with a great tightly scattered holo and tiny iridescent blue-to-purple color-shifting glitters, along with a reddish shimmer and pink micro-glitters. This was a Limited Edition, numbered polish that made its debut at CosmoProf in Las Vegas and it sold out pretty much the minute she listed it for sale on the site. Chanel 591 Alchimie - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose

♥

Good evening! Tonight I have one of the new polishes from Chanel's Superstition Fall 2013 Collection - Alchimie, the only Limited Edition of the 3 new polishes in the collection.

Chanel 591 Alchimie

When I first saw the preview photos of this collection, I was pretty sure I'd want Elixir and Mysterious but that Alchimie would be too gold and too much like Peridot for me. Peridot really did not look good with my skin tone. So, I naturally I ended up with Alchimie and passed on the other two. You just never know until you see them in person or you see truly accurate swatches.

Alchimie is definitely not a Peridot dupe. (I would compare them, but I no longer have Peridot.) It's a really dimensional golden green, almost metallic, shimmer polish. No issues at all with formula or application. I used two coats and no top coat for the photos.

Happy One Year Anniversary to 365 Days of Color - It's been ONE COLORFUL YEAR!

Press Sample
*This product is Cruelty Free

 ♥

Good morning! I have a HAPPY polish for you today - celebrating the 1st Anniversary of 365 Days of Color. They celebrated one year on April 19th, 2013. Happy Anniversary! It's been One Colorful Year!

One Colorful Year is a white crelly and it has almost every single glitter she's ever used in it.

365 Days of Color - One Colorful Year

Here's what Sunny had to say about it:

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT'S BEEN A YEAR SINCE I OPENED 365DOC!!!
I wanted to create a special polish just for this occasion. I went a tad bit classical "Sunny" here and made a white crelly base polish. What I love about this one is that it is packed with ALMOST every glitter I have used this past year. There are metallic glitters in all shapes and sizes, matte glitters in various shapes/sizes, pastels, and even shreds!! There is also a small holo scattered dust in there too!!
There will ONLY BE SIXTY of this polish created. Each bottle will have __/60 at the bottom so you know exactly what color from the lot you own!!!
This bottle is 15ml
I could not have been here without any of you so thank you so much for your love and support! xoxo

The formula on this one was fantastic and I had no issues at all. I sometimes fight with "milky glitters" but not with this one. I used two coats of this over a sheer white base, just to hide my stained nails. One coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

And just to see what it looked like over a light dove grey...

What do you think? I think it's a perfect polish to celebrate 365 Days of Color's one year anniversary! But if you want this one, you have to hurry...only 60 bottles made.

365 Days of Color's polishes, including this one, can be purchased at the 365 Days of Color store here.  Full size bottles are $8.00. Check out Sunny's blog here and 365 Days of Color's Facebook here for more updates!

Happy Anniversary Sunny!

Chanel Hong Kong Collection: Eastern Light and Western Light

♥

Today I have a new collection from Chanel to show you: The Hong Kong Collection. Well, I have most of it - the nail polishes. In celebration of the opening of a new boutique in Hysan Hong Kong, Chanel has released a Limited Edition 3-piece collection consisting of a new 5-pan eye shadow palette, Pearl River ($80) and two new nail polishes, Eastern Light and Western Light ($30 each) and I'll be showing you the nail polish, of course.

Chanel Hong Kong Collection

----------------------------------------------------------

First up, Eastern Light. This is a straight chalk white creme polish that dries to a high shine. Not very original you say? Well that may be true but I think every brand should have a plain white creme and Chanel is no different. Not everything has to re-invent the wheel. I was prepared not to like this one, especially since I'm washed out and pale enough without drawing unnecessary attention to it by giving myself dead hands. But I use white quite often as a base for glitters and such and this one does have quite a great formula. What I like most about it is that it's self-leveling. It's so hard to find a good, opaque-in-two-coats, self-leveling white creme. This fits the bill. Two coats, no top coat.

Finally, Western Light. This one is a very dark blackened brown creme/shimmer that reminds me of dark roast coffee. The shimmer is much more apparent in the bottle than on the nail and 99% of the time this one reads black/brown but when the light catches it just right the red micro-shimmer peeks through. Again, not very original at first glance, but I do see it becoming a basic. The formula and application are fantastic and I used two coats and no top coat for the photos.

-----------------------------------------------------------

If you are expecting a WOW-Factor with these two polishes, you'll probably be disappointed, but again, there's nothing wrong with "the basics" - it's the $30 per bottle price tag for "the basics" that might be a bit of a problem.

What do YOU think? Will you add them to your collection anyway? Does the "Limited Edition Chanel" make the difference?

These polishes are available now at Chanel counters and on Chanel.com and retail for $30 per bottle.
