Scofflaw Nail Varnish Winter 2014 Collection: Jackalope and Wraith Pinned to the Mist

*These products are Cruelty Free

Tonight I have swatches of the final two new polishes in the Scofflaw Winter 2014 Collection which is set to launch January 5th, 2013. Jackalope and Wraith Pinned to the Mist.

Here's what the creator had to say about this collection and her inspiration: Now, you may have noticed I don't really do 'collections', per se. Only in the most vague way. If the winter collection had a theme, it would be the idea of 'comfort'. My go-to colors. Colors that make me feel cozy. Polish names that give me a warm fuzzy - you get the idea!

WINTER 2013 COLLECTION

I will do a round-up post after this one so they'll all be in one place for future reference.

Continued after the jump...

First, Jackalope. This one is a rich, chocolate brown shimmer polish with various sizes of teal, warm brown/copper and white glitters and loads of turquoise shimmer. Now THIS is a Jackalope I don't mind hunting for and bagging!

I used two coats of this and one coat of top coat. No issues at all with formula or application.

Artificial lighting...

Indirect natural lighting...

Wraith Pinned to the Mist is an aqua shimmer polish with blue, violet, green and gold sparks and gold micro-flakes. Named after the song of the same name by Of Montreal.

I used two coats of Wraith and one coat of top coat. The formula was total perfection. Crazy perfect.

Artificial lighting...

Indirect natural lighting...

Well that makes all ten! What did you think? Favorites?

Some of my favorites surprised me. While there wasn't one that I didn't like, my favorite is Chromosaurus Hex. The ones that surprised me though were Ruff Tuff Creampuff, Wraith Pinned to the Mist, Happy Little Tree, Love Letter to Bob Ross and Your Cat Ain't Cute. Wait, that's more than half of them! I guess it would be easier to pick my least favorites? Drop Dead Fred and Jackalope just because they don't look as good on me personally. I wouldn't kick any of them to the curb though.

Be sure and check out the links below to stay up-to-date on all the news and information. These will retail for $9 each on the NEW Scofflaw Big Cartel site.

  5. I have really been ogling Scofflaw for a while now, and I think it's time to bite the bullet and order. Not that I am a modest Indie buyer at all, because I have hundreds of Indies ( Indies Unite!! ♥) but I just haven't gotten around to actually ordering Scofflaws yet.
I LOVE that Scoff puts out really unique colour combinations that seem to have a lot of thought put into them. Her style reminds me a bit of HARE, Elevation and NerdLacquer in the way that they are all unique and fly just a bit left of center.
