Zoya Ki - Swatches and Review

I've tried a few duo-chromes and multi-chromes and it's not my favorite finish (that's creme, as I *may* have mentioned - *giggle*) but I'm a Zoya fan and decided to try this one, Ki, when they were having their Flash Promos before Christmas. I'm so glad I did!

It doesn't just claim to be a multi-chrome and then fall flat like some, it actually IS a multi-chrome!

Zoya's site describes it as follows:

Ki - A complex multichromatic shade combining silver, purple, blue and green in a shimmery metallic finish. A unique shade for a truly fascinating nail look.

Color Family Purples

Finish Metallic

Intensity 4 ( 1=Sheer - 5=Opaque )

Tone Cool

Original Collection Suede

I don't know who writes the descriptions for their site, but it's pretty dead-on as far as the description of the color(s) go...except they left out gold. And they got the "Intensity" right. It's almost opaque in two medium-to-heavy coats. Three coats would reach full opacity, IMO. So a 4 is what I would give it as well. I did two coats for the photos here.

Again, same brush as always, skinny but perfectly cut and balanced for amazing application. Not only do I not have clean up with most of their polishes, but I don't even usually have to do my thumbnail thing! (The "thumbnail thing" is my clean-as-I-go system for avoiding clean up. I polish all eight fingers and leave the thumbs bare so I can use them to clean the sides if I mess up. Then I do them last and use a toothpick if there are any missteps with them.)

Okay, enough talk. On to the photos! There are lots of them because I tried to capture all the various nuances, which of course is impossible.
