Nubar Iced Licorice - Swatches and Review

Nubar Iced Licorice
Nubar Iced Licorice

I got Nubar Iced Licorice from a blog sale because, well...I love purples. And it looks SO purple in the bottle! At first I was disappointed because it's not as purple on the nails, but after I had it on, I kinda fell for it.

Iced Licorice is part of Nubar's permanent collection, but I have no idea when it was originally introduced. It's a dusty almost dirty violet purple with golden (or even bronze?) micro glitter (or maybe even micro flakies or glass flecks?) As you can tell, I'm having a difficult time trying to describe this one!  So I'll just let you see the photos. All photos are three coats (the first coat is very sheer, but it builds nicely) and, as usual, no topcoat. The golden/bronze shimmer gives it a duochrome effect which I tried to capture in the photos.

*Sidenote - I rarely show photos with top coat so that you can see the actual finish of the polish. We all know what a great top coat does. If you want it shinier, you can add that on your own.*
