365 Days of Color Horcrux Collection

Tonight I have 4 of the polishes from 365 Days of Color's Horcrux Collection. These polishes are, of course, based on the horcruxes in the Harry Potter series. There are seven total and I have 4 of them for you  now!

Continued after the jump...

First let's take a look at The Ring. This one is a blackened green and gold duochrome. It can be worn alone or layered over another color. There are great swatches of this one alone so I've layered one coat over a plain black creme with one coat of top coat. No issues at all with formula or application. Smooth and easy.

The Locket is an antique gold shimmer creme. I used 3 light coats of this one and one coat of top coat for the photos. The formula and application were good on this one as well. I did have bumps that you can see in the photos, but I believe that's a combination of the heat here and my base coat. The formula was smooth and creamy.

The Snake is a medium green creme with gold flecks. This one had a thinner formula, less opaque - so I've used 4 light coats of this one with one coat of top coat. This one had the trickiest formula of the 4 but it builds nicely.

And finally...The Boy Who Lived. This one is a blackened jelly base with various sizes of teal holographic hex glitters. This can be layered over several different colors, but here I've layered 2 light coats over The Locket and over a plain black creme. No issues at all with this one - all the glitters came out of the bottle easily and laid flat on the nail. One coat of top coat for the photos.

What do you think of these? Favorites? My favorite is The Ring layered over black. So cool!

These released in mid-October and should be available now or if they're sold out, there will be a re-stock. You can buy these at the  365 Days of Color Shop and be sure and follow 365 Days of Color on Facebook for news, updates, futures releases and restock information. Minis retail for $4.50 and full sized bottles retail for $8.00.

To see the other 3 in the collection, you can check out swatches at Cosmetic Sanctuary here and Lacquerologist here.
