Chanel FNO 2013 Magic - Swatches, Review and Comparison

Tonight I have one of the two new Chanel FNO 2013 polishes to show you - Magic...and a comparison at the end. (To see Swatches and comparisons of Chanel Cosmic, click here.)






Chanel Magic, one of two Limited Edition polishes created for Vogue's Fashion's Night Out 2013, is a medium-to-dark blue creme that has just enough green in the base to keep it from being navy.

Chanel Cosmic, one of two Limited Edition polishes created for Vogue's Fashion's Night Out 2013, is a black creme with silver micro-flakes that shift to blue (and possibly violet - but that could be my eyes playing tricks on me).

Chanel 591 Alchimie - Swatches and Review

Good evening! Tonight I have one of the new polishes from Chanel's Superstition Fall 2013 Collection - Alchimie, the only Limited Edition of the 3 new polishes in the collection.

When I first saw the preview photos of this collection, I was pretty sure I'd want Elixir and Mysterious but that Alchimie would be too gold and too much like Peridot for me. Peridot really did not look good with my skin tone. So, I naturally I ended up with Alchimie and passed on the other two. You just never know until you see them in person or you see truly accurate swatches.

Alchimie is definitely not a Peridot dupe. (I would compare them, but I no longer have Peridot.) It's a really dimensional golden green, almost metallic, shimmer polish. No issues at all with formula or application. I used two coats and no top coat for the photos.
