KBShimmer Fall 2013 Collection - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

You may have seen the press release this morning and even some swatches already but as promised, I have all seven of the new KBShimmer Fall 2013 Collection for you now!

Here's what KBShimmer had to say:

KBShimmer is excited to announce the addition of seven new fall colors to their 3-Free glitter polish line. Owner Christy Rose says “With a bit of chill in the morning and school buses out in force, I can’t help feel that fall is almost here. I am ready put away the neon and embrace the warmer, softer tones that accent the feeling of Autumn.”

“The fall KBShimmer line up has a bit for everyone, from the glitter lover to those that want a more subtle look.” says Rose. “We are again expanding our matte line with both a fun cranberry red, and a blue toned gray. For those that love the look of jelly polishes, we offer three versions in black, red, and a blue with hints of purple. A white crelly, and a unique teal with heavy pink shimmer completes the new collection. We think this is our most diverse collection yet, and the perfect start to the season.”

Continued after the jump...

I have SO many photos, that I've decided to do them a bit differently. There are still a lot of photos, so you'll just have to get your scrolling finger ready. But, for the polishes that I am showing with and without top coat...a few mini collages. So let's start with those! (Italics indicate the maker's own description.)

Every Nook and Cranberry - A cranberry satin matte polish with a subtle pink and gold shimmer. This polish with its blue undertones is one that will work on many skin tones. Best in two coats.

This one has an awesome formula - two coats for opacity. No issues to report. Photos with top coat and without. Dries to a satin matte finish on its own.

That shimmer is amazing. I actually love the natural finish and wore this one without top coat.

I mean REALLY!

TurbulenceA satin matte finish slate gray polish inspired by storm clouds. Silver flakes are surrounded by micro blue and fuchsia sparks inspired by lightning and rain. Best in two coats.

Same perfect formula as Every Nook and Cranberry. Same finish. Same fantastic shimmer. But in grey. This one is my FAVORITE! No issues at all. Two coats. Photos with top coat and without.

Teal Another TailA dusty teal green polish with a strong pink almost duo-chrome shimmer. A color I imagine would be on a mermaid’s tail. Best in two coats.

This one will be a runaway favorite of everyone I think. The only negative thing I have to say about this one is that there's no way to capture how pretty it is - at least with ME behind the camera. It's stunning in person. Two coats - with top coat and without. Most probably wouldn't wear this one without top coat, but it's really not rough without it and it's gorgeous either way. ALSO, the shimmer isn't "almost duo-chrome" - it's for sure duo-chrome.

See the shimmer shift?

And here's the pink shimmer - shifted all the way to gold...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Excuse Me, I Blurpled - A shade not quite blue, not quite purple shade with glitters in many shades of blue, purple, with a hint of copper. Best in two coats.

No issues with this one either. Formula and application were both great. Two coats and one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vicious CirclesA blood red jelly loaded with silver holographic circles in two sizes, sliver holographic hex glitters and holographic sliver micro slices. Best in two or three coats.

No issues to report. Jelly formula was a good consistency and the glitters came out easily and spread nicely on the nail. I used three light coats of this one with one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

You Autumn KnowA white crelly polish loaded with fuchsia, gold, and orange glitters. Micro bars accent the fall pallet of this polish. Best in three coats, or two coats over white.

No issues to report with this one either. Glitters all suspend nicely in the crelly base and I've chosen to show you this one alone with 3 light coats and one coat of Poshe top coat. However, I probably will layer this one next time I wear it as the glitters are a little bit denser in this one. And you might also want to use a coat of Gelous with the regular top coat - or two coats of top coat.

You Go Ghoul! This Halloween polish is one that you will wear year round. A black jelly sparkles with glitters in grape, berry and orange for a polish even a witch would love. Best in two coats over black or three coats alone.

Again, no issues. This one is a black jelly and the glitters suspend well, come out easily and spread nicely on the nail. I used this one alone as well - 3 light coats and one coat of Poshe top coat.

  3. All I can say is WOW. She always does such an amazing job with her polishes (as you do with your blog!). I like You Autumn Know best...but alas, I am still dealing with my unpainted nubbies, waiting for the peelies to grow out. Le sigh.
