KBShimmer Showgirl - Swatches and Review

*This product is Cruelty Free

Tonight I have another KBShimmer Bath & Body polish for you - Showgirl!

Continued after the jump...

Here's what the maker had to say about Showgirl:

The lights go down, and the girls come out. Costumes, make-up, flash and flair, a show in Vegas is a sight to be seen. Inspired by those dancers this polish starts with a semi-sheer base of black. Deep enough to cover in two coats, but sheer enough that the  glitters can show through. We then add medium sized rose glitter, a small fuchsia, pink holographic glitter, and square sliver glitter. Black holo  glitter, black shred and black hex glitters complete this polish.

Showgirl is a black-based jelly polish loaded with glitter. I know you guys have seen this one over black and alone a lot, so I decided to see what it looked like layered over any other color and if it made a difference. So I layered 2 light coats over a violet polish (you can see the color near the cuticles where I didn't do a great job polishing - sorry!) and it really didn't make that much difference. But it was a tad more purple than the intense black. It's pretty either way. I had no issues at all with formula or application. The glitters came out of the bottle nicely and spread evenly on the nail. One coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

I'm glad I decided to see what it was like layered over a different color but I know me and I'm sure I'll be wearing this one over black most of the time.  What do you think of this one? I think it's a really fun yet dark and sexy polish.

This polish, as well as the rest, are available on the KBShimmer site here or on the KBShimmer Etsy site here. This one retails for $8.75.

You can also follow the KBShimmer Facebook page here and KBShimmer Twitter account here for more information. KBShimmer polishes are also sold at Harlow & Company's site here and you can follow the Harlow & Company Facebook page here.
