Nail Polish Problems - #973

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

You're LATE! The mail center is in the next town over and you've forgotten you were supposed to go there at 9 am to mail a package. UPS cut-off is in 20 minutes. ACK!

So you go flying out the door, get halfway there and notice that your nails are NEKKID! You're never without polish so that horrifying yellow-orange shade makes your stomach start to churn.

You can't be seen in public like that! What to do, what to do?

Well if you're me, you stop at the Sally down the street from the mail center, buy a polish from the sale bin that matches your purse, do your nails in the car...

Nina Ultra Pro Blue La La

Not too bad for doing 'em in the car! No way could I finish all my other errands and go to dinner with bare nails. That's what I get for waiting until the last minute/not setting reminders!

Have you ever done this?

If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!

  4. I totally have done this!

About a year ago, my Mom and Sister arrived a day early from out of state and wanted to meet me as soon as I was done for the day... so I ran over to Sally Beauty Supply and quickly bought a set of nail strips and did them in the car.
For some reason my nails were totally nakkie that day, and they had been wanting to see my "Awesome Nail Skills".

  6. wel I got an ingrown nail after a student, bf, and dog happened to accidentally trapped on the same toe the same week. Result and infection and a yellow , nail the infection is gone but my nail has to grow back to get the natural color it someday has. it looks horrible. I cant paint my toes to disguise that horrible color and thing on my foot for now

  7. oh my gosh, so funny! I've done this before, holding my hands in front of the a.c. vent to dry quick, hahaha! I'm polished obsessed, lol. :-)

  8. Hahaha! I did the opposite - was getting ready for a party, running late as usual, and trying to do my nails on the fly. I had done too many layers, so they weren't drying and I messed them up and got them all smudged on the way there so I stopped at the pharmacy and bought a scrub tub to remove the polish. I figured better naked than all smudged, squished and mushed up!

  9. HAHA! Yes, except I didn't do my nails in the car, I took the polish to my desk and did it right there. haha!

  10. Haha, priceless picture! I wouldn't do it for a trip to the PO, but have done it for a party ;) My results did not turn out nearly as good as yours! That is pretty awesome!

  11. Hahaha! Never, I cannot do my nails in a hurry, I will just mess them up! But yeah, I can't walk out the door with nekkid nails... No WAY!

  13. I'm not going to admit to anything, but I know uh...some people..who keep a nice neutral polish and quick dry top coat in their purses so that, in the event of a naked nail disaster, a quick in-the-car paint job can happen without having to stop and without too much worry about clean up. Addict status, achieved!

  14. LOL! The only time I've done something similar to this is when I painted a french mani and somehow, the white chipped off one of my nails so I bought the cheapest white nail polish from one of the drugstores at the train station and repainted the tip on the train.

  15. Lol, I have done this more than I care to remember!!

  16. Hahahahahah I've been in this same situation except there is no way I could do my,nails in ,y car as well as you...and I also blog about nails! I tend to remember when I'm at work with customers and they point out "cute color" and my hand retracts because they are half chipped and not presentable. Haha...oh well...it happens.

  18. On the way to work... Though I only made it through on hand. Later that afternoon I had a surprise one on one meeting with a boss... She kept giving me the strangest looks and looking at my hands. Ooopppssssies

  19. I didn't buy one on the way, but I did grab a full coverage glitter on my way out the door to go to a wedding and did my nails in the car while my husband drove. If I were you, I wouldn't want to have naked nails, either, because people know you're a nail blogger; it's the first thing they will look at. Even with my not-so-well-known blog, my friends typically look at my nails first thing whenever they see me because they know I'm obsessed and change it all the time.
