Rescue Beauty Lounge Killa Red

Nothing to Disclose

Rescue Beauty Lounge
Killa Red

This one isn't new but it's new to me and I really don't know what took me so long to try it. I think I thought it was going to be too sheer and hard to build to opacity. I was wrong! Plus I'm drawn to reds more when I have short nails.

Continued after the jump...

Killa Red is a blue-based, cool-toned bright red jelly that has more personalities than you would think - it looks so different in artificial and natural lighting. I used three light coats and NO top coat for the photos. Because it's a jelly, it dries to a super high shine and has that "squishy" quality. The formula was way more sheer than I like and that made application a pain. But, I've worn this one longer than I usually wear a polish and only minimal chipping - a moderate amount of tip wear. My past issues with RBL polishes (No More War in particular) were mainly tip wear - like within 10 minutes after applying. Bad tip wear. This one wasn't as bad as that.  It's too fussy for me to likely wear again though.

Artificial lighting...

Indirect natural lighting...

I was really stunned by how pretty this one really is and it passed the Guy Test. My guy LOVED it. I just wish the formula and wear weren't so bad. What do you think? Do you have it yet?

This one still retails for $18 and can be purchased at Rescue Beauty Lounge here.

Rescue Beauty Lounge nail polishes are available only at www.rescuebeauty.com and most retail for $20 per bottle. For updates on new collections, release dates and other information, you can follow Rescue Beauty Lounge on FacebookTwitterInstagram, and Google+!
