Literary Lacquers - Literary Liquors Collection

*These products are Cruelty Free

Tonight I have a brand new collection from Literary Lacquers to show you called the Literary Liquors Collection, which launches September 5, 2013 at Noon MDT. (That's 1 PM Central time and 2 PM Eastern.)

Continued after the jump...

The formula on all of these (except the glitter) was the same. No issues at all. They spread nicely on the nail and were self-leveling. The ones I wore alone all built up nicely in 3 light coats.

So let's get to it! (Italics, as always, indicate the words of the maker.)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm Drinking Stars - Champagne linear holo, opaque at 3 coats or a fabulous holo top coat at one coat over pretty much anything, this is not a golden champagne, but a neutral pale taupe. Inspired by Still Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins
I've layered this one over black (for my main mani - how I wore it) - one coat with one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. I also have photos of it over a black and white mani and alone on my thumb - 3 coats, no top coat. No issues to report at all. Great formula and easy application.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Jack Rose - Warm coppery brown holo, kind of the color of magical apple cider. Inspired by The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway
I layered this one over a plain medium warm brown creme for my main mani. One coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. I also have photos of it with 3 coats alone - one coat of Poshe top coat. Same great formula - no issues to report at all.

3 coats alone
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Dandelion Wine - Mustard golden yellow holo with orangey-pinky color shift, I'm describing this as the color that you remember summer as when you look back after the weather has gotten cold. Inspired by Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury
I used this one with 3 coats on its own and one coat of Poshe top coat. Formula and application were smooth and easy - no issues at all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strawberry Ice Cream Soma - Warm pink crelly holo - I call this one of my "office holos." Indoors, it's a shimmery pink with a touch of purple shimmer, in the sun or bright light a full linear holo rainbow emerges. Inspired by Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
I used three coats of this one alone with one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. Again, same formula as the others. No issues at all.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster - Hmmm... I'm just not really sure how to describe this specific shade of blue. It's a rich blue (that's also a little on the warm side but not so much that I'd call it teal) holo with added holo glitter. Inspired by The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
I used three coats of this one alone with one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. Same great formula - no issues to report at all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two At the Very Most - Martini top coat - Black hexes, white squares, gunmetal hexes, silver chrome hexes so shiny that they reflect light like a disco ball, a touch of holographic micro-glitter and added green circle glitters (for the olives, of course!) This polish is inspired by the martini, literature's most beloved cocktail. The name refers to the quatrain attributed to Dorothy Parker:
I like to have a martini,
Two at the very most.
At three I'm under the table,

At four I'm under the host!

I used one coat of this one over Dandelion Wine and over Strawberry Ice Cream Soma. All the glitters came out of the bottle easily and spread nicely on the nail. No issues. One coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.
