Nail of the Day: piCture pOlish Hot Lips - and a Watermelon Comparison

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

piCture pOlish
Hot Lips

Hot Lips is a very saturated hot pink neon crelly that dries shiny rather than the typical semi-gloss neon finish. Three light coats with no top coat. And it's more neon in person. I would say that my camera hates neons but I have a sneaking suspicion I just haven't figured out how to photograph them properly.

Continued after the jump...

And I was asked how close Watermelon is to Hot Lips so I did a quick comparison.

Watermelon is a creme and not neon like Hot Lips and it's opaque in 2 light coats. They are very close in color though and when the lighting isn't making the neon of Hot Lips pop, they're very close.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love them both, but Hot Lips wins for me just because I can't resist a great neon! What do you think?

  1. That is such a pretty and bright pink. I do love pink polishes and usually like the pale blushes, even sheers, but sometimes, ya need that pop of pink!

The Watermelon looked like it had a touch of dustiness to it. Or it may be my eyes or just being next to that clear bright pink.

I have heard other bloggers mention how difficult neons are to capture, also.
