piCture pOlish Unicorn - Swatches, Review and Nail Art

*This product is Cruelty Free

Well, I guess I liked this shade so much I swatched it twice!

Yes, I swatched it in October when I did Sizzle and Forget-Me-Not - and then forgot to show you!! Well tonight I'm fixing that. Unicorn is a Collaboration shade with my "nail crush" Brit Nails! So I knew I'd have to have hers.

Yes, you know I had to go there! It was just begging for 2 things. A matte top coat and a UNICORN HORN!

Don't worry though, I have real swatches...after the jump.

I will have full swatches of each of these shades for you tonight!

Indirect natural lighting...

Just wait until you see these beauties on their own!

Nail of the Day: piCture pOlish Hot Lips - and a Watermelon Comparison

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

piCture pOlish
Hot Lips

Hot Lips is a very saturated hot pink neon crelly that dries shiny rather than the typical semi-gloss neon finish. Three light coats with no top coat. And it's more neon in person. I would say that my camera hates neons but I have a sneaking suspicion I just haven't figured out how to photograph them properly.

Badass

Today I have another great blogger collaboration shade from piCture pOlish and my sweetheart of a friend Shelly from Sassy Shelly and it's called Badass. I don't have any doubt Shelly could be a badass if she needed to be but all I know of her is that she is a doll.

Badass is a black base filled with the new piCture pOlish holographic pigment and loads of sparkling multi-colored micro-flakes.

piCture pOlish Bewitch - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

piCture pOlish
Bewitch

piCture pOlish Bewitch by Aire the Obsessed is, at first glance, a brown. No, an aubergine. No wait! It's so complex! It actually is a purple jelly base loaded with shimmer and micro-flakes. The generous helping of golden shimmer cast a gorgeous brown tint. There are bits of copper, lavender and even teal micro-flakes...and if you don't believe me, check out the macro at the end!

From the Vaults: NerdLacquer, a-England, Nails Inc., piCture pOlish and Some Nail Art

Nothing to Disclose

Throughout the year, there are several swatches I don't show you for various reasons: I run out of time, I'm not happy with the photos because of clean-up, I lose them, I forget about them or I think I've posted when I haven't.

So today I have several more that I neglected to show for one or more of those reasons. These include random nail art/accent nails, piCture pOlish, Nails Inc., a-England and NerdLacquer.

piCture pOlish Vampire: Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

piCture pOlish
Vampire

piCture pOlish Vampire is a deep, vampy, blood red jelly that is in the same vein (pun intended) as Chanel Rouge Noir and Dior Nuit 1947. They're not dupes but the finished manis have the same "look" about them. The formula and application were great and I have zero issues to report. It is a jelly though - a true jelly - which means you need to build up the layers for that juicy, super-shiny stained glass quality. I used 3 coats and no top coat but I recommend 4 light coats and will do that myself the next time I wear it.

piCture pOlish Sunset - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Happy Monday!

It's foggy and misty and dreary here and way too warm for this time of year - so I broke out some HAPPY on my nails with piCture pOlish Sunset. It's a great coral neon pop of color to brighten the day.

piCture pOlish
Sunset

The photo above is in artificial lighting. Sunset is a truly neon shade of orange pink coral that applies like a crelly and doesn't photograph as neon as it actually is.

Here she is in indirect natural lighting...

The formula and application on Sunset were great and I had no issues at all. Two coats for opacity and one coat of top coat for the photo. Some neons are a little finicky as far as application, but this one applies like a crelly and I didn't have any streaking or drying too fast. Perfectly self-leveling.

This shade is available directly from piCture pOlish and through their Network. The Network brings piCture pOlish and Ozotic to you through their network of members worldwide. By clicking on The Network on their site, you will be given a list of Network Members all around the world who carry piCture pOlish and Ozotic shades. Nothing to Disclose

Tonight I have the 4th of the newest Blogger Collaboration shades from piCture pOlish - Electric Dream by Nail Polish Anon! This one was created in collaboration with Michaela from Nail Polish Anon.

Michaela's inspiration - the coral in Fiji...

piCture pOlish Freya's Cats - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Tonight I have another of the four latest piCture pOlish Collaboration shades for you - Freya's Cats.

Freya's Cats was created in collaboration with Nihrida and her inspiration is SO cool - from Norse Mythology:

Freya (also known as Freyja) is the Norse goddess of love, beauty, war and death. She rides on a chariot pulled by two blue cats Bygul and Trjegul which were given to her by Thor. That's how my nail polish shade got its name.
Click here to check out what Nihrida had to say about her inspiration

Nail of the Day: Colorblocking with piCture pOlish

Nothing to Disclose
*These products are Cruelty Free

I have a quick post this evening - a little nail art using the 4 new collaboration shades from piCture pOlish.

Striping tape and I aren't the best of friends, but I decided I'd give it another shot and try a color block manicure. I mean really, these shades just played so well together I couldn't resist.

I used piCture pOlish Electric Dream, Freya's Cats, Lagoon and Shy Violet over a base of a plain white creme.

What do you think? I always think of Frank Lloyd Wright for some reason. Maybe the straight lines? His stained glass windows?

piCture pOlish Shy Violet - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Happy Saturday! Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far! Mine has consisted of crawling in and out from under my car trying to replace a strut. Hot. Frustrating. BUT my nails, I must say, are gorgeous. I'm wearing one of the new piCture pOlish Collaboration Shades - Shy Violet!

Shy Violet was created in collaboration with Rachel aka Glam Polish and is described by piCture pOlish as an "electric neon purple jelly scattered holo." I'd call it purple for sure but it does lean to the red-violet side of the spectrum slightly. It's totally gorgeous. The scattered holo particles are like tiny flakes and they sparkle like mad in the sun. This one is a jelly so I used three coats for opacity and one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. No issues whatsoever to report.

(*The last photo, a macro shot, is without top coat so you can see that it dries to a "wax" or semi-matte finish. This is actually how I prefer to wear this one.)
