Fanchromatic Nails - Monday Swatchfest

*These products are Cruelty Free

I have 4 polishes from Fanchromatic Nails to show you now! I Like Dull Work, Misty Mountains, Rebel Heart and The Dream of the Apples.

Continued after the jump...

All descriptions are from the Fanchromatic Nails' Etsy Store, with my observations after.

I Like Dull Work is a very delicate bluish-grey jelly nail polish, with a distinct glass fleck shimmer to it. Subtle yet stunning. This is part of the I'm Your Secretary series, inspired by the 2002 film, Secretary.

Great description. I'd call this one a crelly though. I used 3 light coats of this one and one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. The more coats you add, the more the blue overpowers the grey. No issues at all to report.

Misty Mountains is a sage polish with iridescent blue flecks, gold shimmer, and gold and copper glitter in various sizes. This is part of my There and Back Again series, inspired by the works of Tolkien. This particular polish draws inspiration from Bilbo's journey in The Hobbit.

Again, spot-on description. This one is more of a jelly/crelly. I used 3 light coats and one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. No issues to report.

Rebel Heart is a cherry red sheer shimmer nail polish with gold and red micro-flakes, tiny gold glass flecks, and gold glitter in various sizes. You'll be amazed at its depth and sparkle! This polish was inspired by Star Trek, particularly one of my favorite characters, Kira Nerys. She's a strong female role model who's risen above her bloody past, to soften and grow. My goal with this shade was to create something that was beautifully feminine, but with a confident, even militant side to it too.

I would call this one a rusty burnt orange polish myself. The formula was okay but I did have some of the larger glitters that are starting to curl as you can see in the photos. Two coats and one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

The Dream of the Apples is a light milky green nail polish with subtle shimmer, antiqued gold flecks, and red, green, and gold hex glitter in various sizes. This would make an excellent Christmas-season polish, but is intended to be worn any time of year. This is part of my Summerisle series, inspired by the 1973 cult film, The Wicker Man. "Fruit was not meant to be grown on these islands! It's against nature!" I've included all the colors of an apple orchard in harvest time.

This one makes me think of Apple Jacks! One of my favorite kiddie cereals. No issues to report on this one. Two coats with one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

What do you think of these four? My favorite is I Like Dull Work.

You can purchase Fanchromatic Nails polishes from her Etsy shop here and most of them retail for $8.75 for the full 15ml bottles and $4.75 for the 5ml bottles.  Also, be sure and "like" her on Facebook to stay up-to-date with new polishes and re-stock information.

  3. The Dream of the Apple looks like my morning fruit smoothie. I love it. I really like Rebel Heart too aside from the curling glitter.

  4. Love these swatches. I think Fanchromatic is totally under-rated and am not surprised you ferreted them out. She has a subtle touch and her polishes don't look like everyone elses.
