butter LONDON Fiddlesticks, Jack the Lad and Scuppered

This will start out as a short but sweet post with a few finger swatches and when I get time over the next few days, I'll add more photos - proper photos. (More photos added! 11/05/2012)

I honestly wasn't in love with them in the bottles but I am so glad I picked them up. The formula is good on two of them (Fiddlesticks and Jack the Lad) and the third one (Scuppered) isn't self-leveling and it's tricky. You must use thin coats and wait for each one to totally dry to get a good finish. It is doable, but know going it it's more gloopy than the other two. Each of the three was fully opaque in 2 coats. And removal wasn't even that bad - not like normal glitter polishes! I used one coat of Poshe over all of them.

What do you think of them? Fiddlesticks is my favorite and of course it is the HARDEST one to capture in a photo. It's REALLY blingy in real life. I picked these three up at my local Ulta.

butter LONDON polishes are available at butterlondon.com and selected retail stores. They retail for $14.00 for .4 ounces. To stay up-to-date on special deals and offers, you can "like" butter LONDON on Facebook here. These three are just some of the over 60 colors they offer, in addition to various indulgences for your hands and feet...and even your lips. The nail lacquers are 3-free and butter LONDON is a Cruelty-Free company. That's a major plus for me.

If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!

  3. Ugh, I just got Fiddlestick and while I think the color is very pretty, I'm so disappointed in it. :( It's bumpy, and I had tip wear after... 2 hours I'd say. NOT what I expect of Butter London.

    1. I had issues with Scuppered. Fiddlesticks was great. Not liking that it's not consistent though. I hate to review and say "it's great" only to have a different bottle of the same polish not be great for someone else. How is the consumer supposed to know!? Ugh.

  6. These polishes are truly gorgeous. I just received Jack The Ladd and Scuppered. I ordered Fiddlesticks the other day. I hope I don't have the same problems with Fiddlesticks as Annick did. I'll just keep my fingers crossed! As always, Your swatches are superb!

    1. I had no issues with Fiddlesticks - Scuppered is the one that gave me fits until I figured out how to do it with thin coats and totally drying between.

  7. I picked up Scuppered before I read your review. I haven't tried it yet so I'll definitely use your tips! At least it looks amazing on your nails :). But then again, they all do!
