Sweetcheeks Polish Synergy and Stormer

Good evening! Tonight I have a couple of polishes from Sweetcheeks Polish to show you - Synergy and Stormer!

Both of these are from her first collection - The Jem Glamour & Glitter Collection, inspired by the iconic 80's cartoon series Jem and the Holograms!

All of Sweetcheeks polishes are  big three free, cruelty free, and hand poured, so slight variations will happen from batch to batch. The best thing  is that Steph, the lovely creator of Sweetcheeks Polish has committed that $1.00 from each polish sold will be donated to the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association, VOKRA (see here for their Facebook page).

First up, Synergy. This one is described by Steph as follows:

Synergy is from the TV show Jem and The Holograms. She is a computer that can generate holographic images that are extremely lifelike and synced to accompanying sound-effects. She manifests herself physically as a hologram in the form of a light purple-skinned woman with dark purple hair and eyes.

Synergy is a silver holographic topcoat, with a bit of silver to blue duochrome. In various lights you will see purple, silver, blue, and many other shades.

I REALLY loved this one over black, although it can be layered over ANY color. One coat, no top coat for the photos. It's just stunning and I had no issues at all with formula or application.

Stormer - described by Steph as follows:

Based on Stormer from the 80's TV show Jem and The Holograms. Stormer is the primary songwriter of the Misfits, Keytarist for the band, and overall creative force behind the group (though she is almost never given credit for it). Stormer is the "nice" Misfit- and is friends with Kimber Benton.

This is not a "glitter bomb" it is designed to be a bit more low key- while still being dazzling. Stormer has teal and raspberry shard glitter in various sizes, as well as silver, gold, black, and mint micro glitter.

I used 2 coats over a plain black creme and actually NO top coat for this photo. The shards are suspended very well and the base dries super glossy. No issues with formula or application.

A few people have mentioned that it looked sort of like a dupe of Dandy Nails Funhouse, so I've taken a comparison photo for you...

As you can see, they're not what I would call dupes at all.

What do you think of these two? You know what my favorite is - HOLO Bay-Bee!

Sweetcheeks Polish is available on Etsy here. Steph also has a Facebook page where you can keep up-to-date with new releases and restocks.
