Nails Inc. Tavistock Street and a Grey Comparison with Dior

Today I felt like wearing grey. Naturally, I reached for Dior Gris Montaigne. My favorite medium grey.

And then I remembered that I'd gotten a grey Nails Inc. They looked very similar in the bottles so I decided a comparison post was in order.

I pulled those two and three more and this is what I found out!

As you can see, China Glaze Concrete Catwalk is much darker, but the others are similar.

Here's how they stacked up:

Pure Ice Kiss Me Here - decent formula, no streaking, 2 to 3 coats for opacity

Kiko 327 Granite Grey - great formula, no streaking, 1 coat for opacity

Dior Gris Montaigne - good formula, a bit of streaking, 2 coats for opacity

Nails Inc. Tavistock Street  - great formula, perfect application, 1 coat for opacity

Dior Gris Montaigne is great, but it didn't really self-level. Any of these polishes really are acceptable, but the easiest, smoothest polish was Nails Inc. Tavistock Street so that's what I chose to use for my full manicure.

What do you think?

So do you have any of these? Which is your favorite?

Pure Ice Kiss Me Here is available at Walmart for $1.99
Kiko is available on their site, kikocosmetics.com, for £1.50
Dior Gris Montaigne is getting harder to find but it's still available intermittently on dior.com for $23.00
Nails Inc. polishes are available at sephora.com and nailsinc.com for around $9.50.

  4. Beautiful swatches!!! I only own Concrete Catwalk out of your selection but own China Glaze Recycle that I would consider a solid mid-grey.
