Darling Diva Polish: The Opal Collection - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

DARLING DIVA POLISH
The opal COLLECTION

Tonight I have a wonderful new flaky collection from Darling Diva Polish called The Opal Collection.

The Opal Collection is made up of 7 new shades of jelly flakies that can be layered or worn alone. In order to suspend the flakes and iridescent glitters and holo shimmer goodness, they are a bit thicker than a regular topper, which is why they build to opacity in 2 to 3 coats (most in 2 coats) and I would recommend layering the lighter shades (Opal and Blue Opal). I had no issues with formula or application on any of them! You will need to excuse my ravaged cuticles though. When "winter weather" actually makes it to South Texas my cuticles are the first thing to revolt.

Pahlish Inexhaustible Variety - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Pahlish
Inexhaustible Variety

Inexhaustible Variety is described by the maker as a raspberry pink jelly base with dense violet glass flecks and scattered blue and purple iridescent sparks with very sparse holographic micro-glitter. That's a perfect description but I call the "sparks" micro-flakes and I LOVE micro-flakes!

Elevation Polish and Crows Toes Duo

Nothing to Disclose
*These products are Cruelty Free

As promised, tonight I have the latest Elevation Polish Collaboration Duo to show you - this time they've collaborated with Crows Toes! And the names...OH the names!

Too F#%*ing Hot and Too F#%*ing Cold!

Here's what elevation Polish had to say about them...

Descriptions:
Too F*%#ing Hot- is a deep red jelly-shimmer with both black and red medium/large flake shimmer.
Too F*%#ing Cold- is a blue tinted glitter topper with a complex blend of holographic & iridescent glitters.
Finish: Shimmer & Heavy glitter
Inspiration: I, myself love cold temperatures. My ideal temp would probably be about 15 degrees F outside. Crows Toes on the other hand would probably say “F- that business. That is too cold for this southern gal” She would likely say it much more colorfully, though. LOL The few things we do have in common are our love for polish, polish making, color composition and indeed a good challenge. The challenge being how to blend two different styles of nail polishes (shimmers and glitters) in both red and blue without it being too patriotic and not looking too purple. All while keeping within our theme of Hot vs Cold. Through trial, error, many photos swapped back and forth, long conversations about the color formula, intensity and depth, we found our perfect balance. The perfect temperature.

Well my perfect temperature is about 73°F so I just wore them together!

Daring Digits - Speicher

Press Sample
*This product is Cruelty Free

Today I have Daring Digits Speicher to show you - it's a Mei Mei's Signatures exclusive!

Speicher is "a delicate clear base polish with lots of thin gold and silver flakes in irregular sizes with blue iridescent flakes and blue/purple duo-chrome micro-shimmers."

I layered this one over a plain black creme so the iridescent flakes could really stand out. No issues at all with formula or application - one coat. One coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

Illamasqua Pink Raindrops - Swatches and Review

It's FRIDAY!!! Today I have the latest polish from Illamasqua to show you. Pink Raindrops.

PINK, you say? Well, yes. If you recall the original Raindrops, it was very popular and discontinued and has recently been brought back, along with Pink Raindrops, which is being touted as the "pink version" of Raindrops. Well before you get your hopes up, it's NOT. The formula is much different. I don't have the "new" Raindrops to tell if they've changed the formula, but you can see my original post on Raindrops here - the old version. It was at the least a very crelly 3-coater, if not more. I layered it over Zoya Dove for that post actually, because it was so sheer. I wore it alone on shorter nails.

Pink Raindrops is very opaque - it might even be a one-coater for some but I used two light coats. The formula is quite a bit thicker and it's not self-leveling at all, so extra care has to be taken for application. It's not the same perfect formula I've grown so used to with Illamasqua polishes. It does have those lovely flakes though! It's more of a nude with pink shimmer rather than a pink in my opinion.  Most of the photos are without top coat so you could see the true finish of the polish. The last photo shows it with one coat of Poshe top coat.

What do you think? Will you be getting it? Or do you have it already?

Illamasqua polishes can be purchased at the Illamasqua website here and some select shades are available in the US at Sephora stores. Pink Raindrops wasn't to come to Sephora however I have heard news that it probably will be now, so keep checking with them.

Dandy Nails - Bound to Fall and Just Hugs

Good morning! I have other posts scheduled for today but I just had to stop and show you my current manicure because I LOVE IT!

I started out with Dandy Nails Bound to Fall and what do you need when you fall? Just Hugs, of course. The perfect combo.

Bound to Fall is a light-to-medium grey with slight blue undertones and has black specks and color-shifting flakes. I used two coats. Perfect formula and application. I chose this because it's the color of the sky today - finally getting some rain! Unfortunately, because of that, there isn't any sun to show you the true color-shift in the flakes as well as I wanted, but if you look closely at the photos, you can see the shift to bright blue in some of them. NO issues at all. One coat of Poshe top coat.

As much as I love Bound to Fall, I couldn't resist seeing what it looked like with Just Hugs on top. Just Hugs is an Ã¼ber sparkly red circle glitter polish with medium red dots and red micro-glitter with just a smattering of holo micro-glitter in a clear base. You can layer on 2 or 3 coats of this and be nearly opaque but I used one coat over Bound to Fall. One coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. Glitters came out easily and laid perfectly flat on the nail. No issues at all. Again, with no sun, it's hard to capture just HOW sparkly this one is.

So what do you think of these? I really loved both of them and they make a perfect pair as well.
