Life is so contradictory. I find it nearly impossible to believe it's almost Thanksgiving - the months fly by. But the weeks last forever LOL! I thought this weekend would never get here. And one of the good things it brings is that I finally get to show you the Limited Edition I Survived Black Friday Collaboration Box 2014. And it also reminds me to make sure I don't leave the house next Friday. Some people thrive on days like that, but I have no desire to stress myself out and get "trampled by a shopping cart!" I'll just stay home,  do my nails and shop online, thanks.

Happy Wednesday! I can't believe it's mid-November already! I was playing around with a few autumnal shades and did a quick gradient using some Different Dimension polishes.

I will have the Winter Collection from Different Dimension for you soon, but in the mean time, Happy Autumn!

Autumn/Thanksgiving Gradient Nail Art

For this mani I used a base of Werewolves of London (orange from the Spooky Spooky Collection) and did a quick gradient with that, All That Glitters Is Not Gold (from the Heavy Metals Collection) and TREEmendous (one of the new shades from the Winter 2014 collection that I will have for you soon.) All holos and all gorgeous but together I think they're just striking!

Never did I envision linear holo metals. When something quits working, what do you do? Discard it? NO, you find a creative person who can re-invent them. And reinvent them she did!

Heavenly Waters

Heavenly Waters is a part of Different Dimension's Cosmologically Speaking Collection and it's a gorgeous "TARDIS blue" linear holographic polish. It's such a great blue I thought it went well with the TARDIS and since the new season of Doctor Who is getting into full swing now, it only seemed fitting to pair them up.

No issues with formula or application at all. Smooth and easy. I used 2 coats and no top coat for the photos.

What do you think? This one is a must have for me. The blue is just perfect.

Good morning! Today I have one of Different Dimension's polishes from the You've Got a Friend in Me Collection - a collection based on the movies in the Toy Story trilogy. This one is To Infinity and Beyond!

To Infinity and Beyond is a clear-based glitter polish with jumbo neon green hexes, white rectangles and medium and small green and purple holo hexes. AND Glow-in-the-Dark microglitters!! No issues to report. Formula was easy to work with and I layered 2 coats over Illamasqua Smash. Poshe top coat for the photos.

Happy Tuesday! This morning I have another polish from Different Dimension's Echoes Collection to show you - Time. (If you've missed the others, you can click the links here: Comfortably Numb, Another Brick in the Wall and Wish You Were Here. And I still have a couple more to show you!)

Different Dimension Time - bottle macro

Time is described as "a clear base with grey, black and purple glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes. This polish may require some extra patience in applying and may be best dabbed on."

I actually didn't have any issues with it other than I dabbed on the larger glitters, which is common with polishes with the larger glitter pieces. I used one fairly heavy coat over Illamasqua Velocity and one generous coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. Sorry about my gnarly cuticles here. Hopefully the beauty of the polish will distract. ♥

LOL that big teardrop you see on my ring finger is a large heart under a large circle glitter piece. Love how it did that randomly. I think my favorite so far is Another Brick in the Wall but I liked this one too - it's the circle glitters that get me every time. What do you think of this one? Different Dimension Comfortably Numb - Swatches and Review

Good morning! This morning I have another Different Dimension polish for you. This time it's Comfortably Numb.

Comfortably Numb is a clear-based glitter polish with pink shimmer hot pink, and yellow glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes. I wore this one over Illamasqua Gamma but I also have photos at the end showing it over black and white. I had no issues with formula or application at all, I just had to make sure the larger glitters were toward the center of my nails, especially the pinkie nail, because of my high arch. I used one coat of Comfortably Numb and one coat of Poshe top coat.

Happy Sunday! I'm working on so many gorgeous polishes right now but I had to stop and show you this one - CIRCLE GLITTER nirvana!

Different Dimension Wish You Were Here

Different Dimension Wish You Were Here is chock full of various sizes and colors of metallic circle glitters mixed with some squares and hexes. Here's what the maker had to say about it: Pink, fuchsia, blue and silver glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes are mixed throughout. This polish may require some extra patience in applying and may be best dabbed on. The larger glitters in this polish do tend to sink to the bottom so I have found it easiest to turn the bottle upside down for a minute or two before use to allow them to mix back in thoroughly.

I actually didn't have any trouble getting the glitters out or spreading on the nail. I always use a toothpick to stir and scrape all glitter polishes before I use them so that may be why, but I didn't really have to dab either! I did rearrange the extra large ones on my pinkie because it's so narrow that if they're not toward the center, they won't lay flat on my high arch and I used a toothpick to spread apart the larger ones that clung together, but that's it! No issues to report at all. I used one coat over a base of Elevation Polish Khongoryn Els and one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

Just thought I'd leave you with a glitter polish before I head out for the evening. This time, I have one of the polishes in the Different Dimension Echoes Collection for you: Another Brick in the Wall. This collection, which I'll be showing in the coming days, was inspired by the music of Pink Floyd.

Another Brick In the Wall is a clear-based glitter polish with tiny black and silver holographic hex glitters, black and white rectangles and neon pink hexes and squares in various sizes. I had NO issues with this one. The formula was great and the glitters were suspended perfectly, came out easily and spread nicely on the nail. I used two coats over a black polish and one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

Wake Up!!! *hands everyone a cup of coffee*

Today I have Different Dimension WIDE AWAKE to show you!

Wide Awake is  described as "a light pink scattered holographic polish with hints of different colors reflected in the light (a hot pink 'flash'). It looks amazing by itself or layered over other colors." 

I didn't know this but apparently the name was inspired by a Katy Perry song? "I'm wide awake, Not losing any sleep, I picked up every piece, And landed on my feet, I'm wide awake, Need nothing to complete myself, no." The only Perry I really know is Perry Como, so I'll take their word for it! Regardless, it's GORGEOUS. I used 2 coats for opacity and no top coat for the photos. No issues to report at all - formula and application were fantastic.
