Different Dimension: Winter 2014 - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

Today I have the Different Dimension Winter 2014 Collection to show you - and it's launching tonight - 8pm Central!

Different Dimension
Winter 2014

There are 10 new shades in this collection, including holos, glitters and shimmers and even one that glows in the dark!

Continued after the jump...

First, for all of my "in real life" friends who were dying over the White Truffle Raspberry cuticle oil I wore all week, you can get it TONIGHT! Yes, I actually said the words "smell my fingers" and most of them did. It smelled so good I may have actually gained a few pounds this week. Because this kept happening...

I really wish "smello-vision" would have worked. As most of my regular readers know by now, I'm extremely sensitive to scents. I have to be really careful or I will get one that causes me to cough uncontrollably, or gives me a migraine or nausea. Or the dreaded trifecta that elicits pleas for someone to "shoot me now!" The exceptions seem to be fruity scents and scents that actually smell like real things - real food. This one didn't bother me at all and the scent lasts all day. The pens retail for $4.50 (2.7mL) and the dropper bottles for $6.50 (15mL).

------------------------------------------

So now that our hands smell fabulous (or that's just me? I may or may not have just applied more) let's have a look at the new polish shades. I'm feeling alphabetical today...

Berry Christmas

This one was the most difficult to photograph because it's one of those berry purple shades that likes to read more purple in warm lighting and violet berry fuchsia in cooler lighting. It's a gorgeous holographic with blue-violet micro-flakes. Smooth and easy formula, no issues at all. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. (The cool indirect natural lighting is the most color-accurate and what it looks like to my eye most of the time.)

Berry Christmas is tied for my favorite of the collection.

Warm lighting...

Cool, indirect natural lighting...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Christmas at Tiffany's

This one is a Tiffany blue crelly polish with assorted glitters in silvers and whites. This one is my least favorite in the collection just because I love the color and it just doesn't like my skin tone at all. It's a beautiful shade so keep that in mind - it's going to look much better on you if you're not the color of bleached flour. Formula was good and glitters were well suspended in the base. I didn't have to dig for or place the glitters and they spread nicely on the nail. Two coats with one coat of top coat for the photos.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Holly Up Already

This one is a clear-based glitter topper with assorted sizes of hex glitters in red and green glitters. Perfectly suspended, spread evenly and lie flat on the nail. No issues at all to report. I've used one coat of this over a base of No One Elsa But You, which we will get to in a moment. One coat of top coat for the photos.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

No One Elsa But You

This one is a silvery blue holographic with shimmer, pale silver-blue micro-glitters and sterling silver flakes. Perfect formula, smooth and easy. No issues at all. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nose So Bright

This is the other polish that's tied for my favorite of the collection. It's just stunning. It's a bright, cool-toned red jelly/crelly with sterling silver flakes that read silver AND pink depending on how settled they are into the luscious base. Everything about this one is perfect. Two coats with one coat of top coat for the photos.

I mean, for REAL?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note to Elf

This one is a rich, forest green holographic polish with plenty of golden shimmer and a surprise helping of blue micro-flakes. A true "Christmas green." Creamy smooth formula, no issues at all. Two coats with one coat of top coat for the photos.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Ready, Set, Snow

This one is an off-white crelly with silver glitters/micro-flakes that read grey in the base and shimmer. And oh yeah, it glows in the dark. Bam. Smooth and easy formula. No issues to report. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. Apologies in advance for my lack of skillz in the glow-in-the-dark photography. But you know if I can capture it at all, it's a good one.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sexy and I Snow It

This one is a holographic base full of gold and silver micro-glitters. This can be layered but there's no need. This is only 2 coats with one coat of top coat and I didn't have any VNL (visible nail line) issues. Or any issues at all with formula or application. It's way more bling-a-rific in person. I haven't had sun for over a week but trust me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TREEmendous

This one is a holo in a bit warmer green with tons of golden shimmer and gold micro-flakes. This is the one I used in my Autumn/Thanksgiving gradient the other day. Fantastic formula and those flakies just make it in my opinion. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yule Be Sorry

This one is a red jelly base chock full of red and green holographic micro-glitters and a sprinkling of green shimmer. Opaque in 2 coats on its own (as shown here) but I'd imagine it can be layered over a red base as well. No issues at all. It's Christmas in a bottle. Two coats alone with one coat of top coat.
