Superchic Lacquer: The Gaslighted Collection - Swatches and Review

Press Sample
*These products are Cruelty Free

Superchic Lacquer
The Gaslighted Collection

There are 5 polishes in this collection and the names are all about "gaslighting" - if you're not familiar with the term, then you probably didn't see Gaslight  (1944) with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer. And that's a shame because I LOVED that movie!

The color-theme, however, is Easter/Spring! Which makes them perfect for a cute, simple Easter Mani! You know I couldn't resist having a little fun.

Continued after the jump...

And more fun...

Okay so let's get to the swatches. All 5 of these are creme/crelly pastel polishes with tons of shimmer/micro-flakes. Four of them had a perfect formula with  no issues to report at all. Three light coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. Figment of My Reality was a tad thicker than the rest and not entirely self-leveling so just take care to use very thin coats and don't over-manipulate that one and it should be fine.

----------------------------------------------------

Coming Unblued is a shimmery pastel blue that is full of pale blue and either white, translucent or silver micro-flakes - and I think I see some pink in there too?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Figment of My Reality is a pale mint green pastel creme/crelly with tons of shimmer/micro-flakes in what appear to be blue shimmers and pink micro-flakes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fuchsure Drive Me Insane is a gorgeous magenta/violet with loads of blue and translucent shimmer/micro-flakes - which is my favorite color combo, so it's no surprise that this one is my favorite!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lost My Melon is a lovely pastel coral-peach with tons of pink and translucent shimmer/micro-flakes. This is my runner-up. Just so pretty - like a juicy cantaloupe!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shrinking Violet is a lovely, pale, cool-toned lavender with tons of blue, pink and translucent shimmer/micro-flakes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you think? Will you be picking up any of these? My favorite is Fuchsure Drive Me Insane. of course, followed closely by Lost My Melon.

So, I must admit, the first time I tried this brand (fka Wonder Beauty) I wasn't entirely impressed with the formula. But these are great and I had no issues except for one of them being a smidge thicker than the others. I don't know what she did, but these get a thumbs up from me.

This collection is currently out-of-stock but will be back and available at the Superchic Lacquer Etsy Store on March 10, 2014 at the next restock. These polishes retail for $10. Find out all the latest news and information by liking them on Facebook.

Note: Superchic Lacquer is the "polish arm" of the Wonder Beauty Brand, so when you see Wonder Beauty on the Facebook page or Etsy store, never fear...you're in the right place.
