Zoya Zenith Collection - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

Zoya Zenith Collection
Holiday 2013

To be honest, I thought I'd love two of these, like two more and positively hate two. Wrong! I love 3 of them and like the other 3 and there's not one among them I'm not happy I have!

This is obviously going to be a long post because I have all 6 to show you so we will just dive right in after the jump...

Here is how Zoya described the 6 polishes in the Zenith Collection:

  • Seraphina Polaris silver metallic (Full Coverage)
  • Cassedy Celestial pewter metallic (Full Coverage)
  • Belinda Cosmic purple metallic (Full Coverage)
  • Payton Galactic cranberry halo (Full Coverage)
  • Dream Deep space blue halo (Full Coverage)
  • Mosheen Astro ice blue topper (Layering)
I'll give you my descriptions with each one as we go. We'll start with my favorite.

Payton - This is a gorgeous deep cranberry red-purple with holo micro-flakes. Two coats for full opacity and no issues to report at all with formula or application. It's really almost a jelly! Two coats and no top coat unless indicated in the photo captions.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Dream - This is a royal blue crelly with holo micro-flakes. Two coats for full opacity and no issues to report with either formula or application. Perfection. The micro-flakes are gorgeous whether they're showing off their holo or just showing as micro-flakes in the shade.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seraphina - This one is a platinum shimmer metallic polish with silver micro-glitter. I think this is the first platinum polish I've seen! This is one I thought I would hate and ended up loving. It's not white and it's not silver - it's a perfect blend. No issues with formula or application but I did need 3 light coats of this one for opacity. No top coat for the photos. It has sort of a greenish hue in my artificial lighting photos but the true color is what I show in the indirect natural lighting photos.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cassedy - This one is a metallic grey-green foil polish that leans green in some lighting and gunmetal grey in other lighting. No issues with formula or application on this one either. Two coats for full opacity and no top coat for the photos.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Belinda - This one is a metallic royal purple with magenta and violet purple shimmer. No issues with formula or application on this one either. Two coats for full opacity and no top coat for the photos.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mosheen - This one is the only topper in the bunch and it's an icy blue with iridescent micro-glitter and short iridescent micro-bars. I've used this one over a few different polishes with no issues at all. Two light coats over each polish and one coat of Dazzle Dry top coat for the photos.

First, over a violet purple franken of mine...

Over Zoya Cassedy...

Over Zoya Belinda...

And finally over Zoya Seraphina as an accent nail...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whew! That was a LOT of photos, but oh so worth it!

  4. I must ask, how close is Dream to Picture Polish Cosmos? I immediately see dark blue and sparkly and hit the buy it now! button, but I'm trying to be a grownup. As for the bar glitter, just ewww. Hair in my polish, no thank you. Gorgeous swatches as always.

    1. Dream and Cosmos are very close. Dream leans more blue, and the holos are more prominent/bright than Cosmos. Cosmos leans more teal. I've worn these side by side, and it's really, really tough to tell them apart.

  10. I have Seraphina and Cassedy. Your color correction in your photos are waaay off on both of those. They look green in your photos and they're not green at all. I suggest anyone wanting to get a more accurate view of these swatches do a Google image search. Seraphina is truly platinum, as mentioned in the blog post, but the picture is wrong. And Cassedy is a gunmetal'ish color. It's not green as shown.

    1. I don't color correct my photos. I want to show them as they actually are in various lighting situations. My goal is not to show "pretty pictures" but rather an accurate representation of how they really look. I did not in my Seraphina notes the following: "It has sort of a greenish hue in my artificial lighting photos but the true color is what I show in the indirect natural lighting photos." And Cassedy definitely looks green. As noted in my description: "This one is a metallic grey-green foil polish that leans green in some lighting and gunmetal grey in other lighting." Some people don't like green and if they read Zoya's description, they think they're getting a straight gunmetal grey, they will be disappointed when they see the green in it.

Thanks for reading and for commenting though. I appreciate all comments. ♥
