30 Day Challenge Day 26 - PATTERN INSPIRATION

If you follow me on any of the other social media sights, you probably know I'm Scottishlass10, Scottish Lass, or some other variation of that. So naturally, being a redhead of Scottish ancestry, I chose a tartan pattern for Pattern Day.

I chose to try and recreate Thompson Camel tartan. Notice I didn't call it "Burberry Check." This tartan dates from 1906, so it's not a mystery whose side I was on when Burberry tried to sue over it. The Thompson Camel tartan you see in the photos is a kilt I bought in Edinburgh - not Burberry. ALTHOUGH I do have and wear Burberry still. But there is a difference.

All I see are the flaws in the photos, but in real life, at arms length, I was actually pretty proud of it!

  2. I can't believe Burberry tried to say they made that pattern. I'd never heard that before but I shouldn't be surprised by the audacity :/ Superb pattern though! We always see the imperfections in the close-up photos anyhow ;)
