Layla Ceramic Effect #63 Chocolate Truffle - Swatches and Review

I was going to post this one for you tomorrow, but I just had to see if the photos came out okay and before I knew it I'd watermarked all of them, so I might as well show it to you this evening!

Layla Ceramic Effects #63 is a duochrome (or multichrome in my opinion because I definitely see more than 2 color shifts) with microglitter pieces in a blackened brown base. Formula was decent and I didn't have any trouble with application. The brush was a medium flat brush that was cut well but the wand is a bit long so you need to be careful not to get too much polish or you will have pooling. The bottle is tall but has a wider bottom so I didn't feel like I was in danger of tipping it over. There is no name on the bottle, but I've found two different names for it - Chocolate Truffle (as it's listed on Ninja Polish's site) and Scarabeus Black is the old name.  After the photos, I'll tell you a little secret.

Okay now for the secret. It makes zero difference whether or not you layer this one. I used 3 light coats alone on my pinky and ring finger and layered one coat over black on the middle and one coat over brown on the index finger - zero difference.

So what do you think of this one?  Layla Polishes are available at Ninja Polish and the Ceramic Effect Polishes retail for $9.95 for a 10ml bottle.
