Pistol Pink is a rich, magenta pink creme polish loaded with pink shimmer and iridescent clear/silver micro-flakes! It's actually sort of mulberry. The formula and application on this one were like a perfect creme polish and the micro-flakes are amazing. No issues to report at all.

Colors by Llarowe - Dirty Diana

*This product is Cruelty Free

Colors by Llarowe
Dirty Diana
from the Tribute to Michael Jackson Collection

Dirty Diana, from the Michael Jackson Tribute Collection, is described by the maker as a magenta linear holo. But it always has a "holo rainbow" even in the shade so it moves effortlessly between purple, magenta and even wine.

Nail of the Day: Enchanted Polish May 2013

Personal Collection
*This product is Cruelty Free

I have company and a lot of wonderful stuff to show you that I have swatched, but haven't cropped photos of or watermarked yet. Tonight I hope to have a HUGE 10 polish collection post to show you. In the mean time, I'll leave you with my Nail of the Day: Enchanted Polish May 2013.

Enchanted Polish May 2013
Enchanted Polish May 2013

May 2013 is a gorgeous violet/magenta creme shimmer polish and the formula and application are fantastic. No issues at all to report and I've gotten so many compliments on it. It's definitely in the violet family, which is MY color for sure.

Not only was this color special to me just because of the color, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross for Oklahoma tornado victims disaster relief. I think that's awesome.

I used two easy coats and no top coat for the photos. I've included both artificial and natural light photos for you.

Cult Nails Morning Glory and Some Easy Nail Art

Press Sample
*This product is Cruelty Free

Tonight I have one of the polishes from Cult Nails In the Garden Collection - Morning Glory.

Morning Glory is a deep violet/magenta polish that dries to a "wax" finish, The formula was creamy and easy and opaque in one coat! No issues to report other than it doesn't like to be over-manipulated, which is the case with most matte, wax or rubber finishes.

First, natural finish...

And a little fun...I used a dotting tool and Poshe top coat for the subtle dots.

With top coat...

And more fun with Cult Nails Kiss My Rose Bush, another from the In the Garden Collection, on the accent nail. I used a striping brush to "frame" the accent nail and stamped some flowers with a plain white creme in the middle. I also put a true matte top coat on so you can see the difference between the "wax" finish and the pure matte.

What do you think of this one? This is one of my favorite colors ever, so naturally I loved it. I actually liked it with the wax finish but my guy preferred it with top coat.

Cult Nails polishes are now being carried by Overall Beauty! You can visit Overall Beauty on Facebook as well to stay up-to-date on re-stocks and other information. They are also still available at the Cult Nails website and retail for $12.00.

Kiko 402 Jewel Pink

Happy Sunday! This morning I have another of the Kiko Holo polishes to show you. This one is #402 - the hot pink holo called Jewel Pink! I've worn this one a few times and used it in a water marble but never got around to blogging it. Sorry! You can see the Grey here and the Taupe hereStay tuned for the blue one coming up soon (which they call Peacock Green for some reason.)

Kiko #402 Jewel Pink is a great magenta polish with a strong linear holo. The photos speak for themselves really. Formula and application were a dream. No issues to report at all! Two coats for full opacity and no top coat for the photos. I didn't use a base at all...not even a regular base coat.

What do you think of this one?

Unfortunately, I don't know of anywhere to get these in the US. I have friends in the UK and France who get them for me. Thank goodness!!! If you're lucky enough to be in France or Italy, you can purchase them in-store. It's definitely worth finding someone to get them for you, in my opinion. There are 4 of the holos and I love them all! You can see the Grey here and the Taupe here. Stay tuned for the blue one coming up soon (which they call green for some reason.)

See the blue? Does that look green and I'm just seeing it wrong?

Laquerlicious Strawberry Cosmo - Swatches and Review

Good Sunday Morning!

This morning I have a new-to-me indie polish to show you. Laquerlicious is a hand-poured nail polish brand started in August 2012 by Michelle. Michelle has been a manicurist for 18 years and finally decided to start creating her own nail polish. And yes, she left the C out of Laquerlicious on purpose. *grin* All Laquerlicious polishes are B3-Free.

The one I'll be showing you this morning is Strawberry Cosmo. This one is a magenta holographic glitter that is one of those true sparklebombs that is nearly impossible to capture. There are also some medium hex glitters scattered throughout that just randomly appear on the nail giving it even more visual interest. This polish was opaque in two coats and surprisingly was completely smooth to the touch with one coat of Poshe. I didn't have any trouble at all with application. The formula appears to be pure suspension base.

What do you think of this one? It is SO much more sparkly than I could capture.

Orly Miss Conduct - Swatches and Review

Friday!  Woot Woot!

Today I have Orly Miss Conduct for you thanks to the amazing Sandy over at Dandy-Nails.com and her RAOK (Random Act of Kindness) - Thanks so much Sandy, I love it!

Miss Conduct is from the Orly Naughty and Nice Holiday 2012 Collection. It's a lovely magenta/berry scattered holo polish. It looked a little thin, but when I started applying it, it was nicely pigmented and covered fully in two easy coats. No issues at ALL. It dries shiny, too! No top coat for the photos.

Nails Inc. Buckingham Street - Swatches and Review

So how about some BLING to start the day? Nails Inc. Buckingham Street fits the bill here, I believe.

Buckingham Street is a magenta glitter bomb. Seriously so much more sparkly in person than can be captured in photos. Well with ME behind the camera anyhow. Actually this color is what I tend to describe as orchid. Just so pretty. As you will see in the close up shots, it's tiny magenta and gold glitters in a clear base. It's SO densly packed, though I didn't even realize until I saw the closeup shot myself. Application was easy and smooth. I used 2 coats over a base of a deep plum color I was already wearing, Priti NYC King Spider Orchid (which I don't consider an orchid color, oddly) and topped it with one coat of Poshe. I later did use a 2nd coat of Poshe, not because one coat didn't make it smooth, but because it lost a little of its shine and seemed thirsty. (*This can be worn alone - estimate about 4 coats for near opacity.)

And with a matted accent nail...

A limited selection of Nails Inc polishes are available through Amazon.com or Sephora.com for around $9.50 in the US and the entire line is available through Nails Inc's own site nailsinc.com for around £11.00. Nails Inc. doesn't ship to the US so I'm ever thankful to my UK buddies for keeping me supplied.

Enchanted Polish I Am The Walrus - Swatches and Review

Tonight I have Enchanted Polish I Am The Walrus for you! I thought if there was one I wasn't going to be totally in love with it would have been this one. WRONG! I love when you feel that way about something and then MAGIC happens on the nails!

I Am The Walrus is a fantastic multichrome holographic polish. The holo is not a strong linear but it's definitely linear and added to a multichrome it's just magical. Among the many color shifts are magenta, wine, gold, green - how many can you spot in the photos? The application was just like the others in this line, smooth and easy. No issues to report, no special base needed, fast dry time, glossy finish. For the photos below I've layered one coat over a dark warm brown polish except for the ring finger which has 2 coats alone - no base color - to show you that it can be layered or worn alone.
