The Digit-al Dozen Does Texture: Nautical Nails

Nothing to Disclose

Yep, you read that right! I'm joining the lovely ladies of The Digit-al Dozen! I secretly think it's some sort of evil initiation that my first month is TEXTURE! I'm a creme lover through and through. But I shall persevere!

For my first ever Digit-al Dozen mani I chose to mix and match my textures in a blue and sand nautical design.

For this mani, I used a base of Nails Inc. Chalk Farm with royal blue flocking on the ring finger and textured stripes on the thumb and middle fingers using Zoya Godiva. The anchor and compass directions were made using a striping brush and acrylic paint.

Be sure to check out the other great Digit-al Dozen manis in the links below and stay tuned for a new texture mani each day this week!

If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!

  1. Congratulations! I love these, btw. Using the flocking as an accent against the sand texture is definitely fresh, and the whole nautical theme is just really well executed!

  3. Nice to see you with the DD. Hahaha, you should have waited till the next prompt! I am so over the sandy texture nail polish (not that I ever got on board with it - I have two [used one once, never opened the other[). I am glad that the polish companies give us such a variety of finishes and I am glad there are women out there who are enjoying this finish. But, lawdy, that fuzzy accent nail gives me the heebie jeebies! Looks like something I would squash underfoot if I were outside (not really, I like my catapillars - never know what gorgeous butterfly will emerge)!

  7. I never appreciated how textured Godiva was until you showed me that close up.
