The Digit-al Dozen Does Texture - Day 5: Toothpick Marble

Nothing to Disclose

Yep, you read that right! I'm joining the lovely ladies of The Digit-al Dozen! I secretly think it's some sort of evil initiation that my first month is TEXTURE! I'm a creme lover through and through. But I shall persevere!

Day 5 brings (dun dun DUN) a toothpick marble! I made it four days without falling back on one of my favorite techniques, but you KNOW I had to do one for my first Digit-al Dozen week!

For this one, I started with a base of my favorite shade - a violet orchid franken I made that you can see here.  Then I painted quick, heavy stripes using the polish brush down both sides with Nails Inc. Chalk Farm and Nails Inc. Southwark, ending with a stripe down the middle with the franken that I used as a base.

While it's still wet, I took a toothpick and drug it back and forth across the nail working from cuticle to tip.

I followed with a top coat.

One if the quickest and easiest nail art techniques for me and you can use any colors to match any possible wardrobe choice.

This week has been so much fun for me! I've had a rough week with illness and death and anniversaries of deaths and general crap so it was really nice to have something to do that's fun and takes my focus away from the negatives for a while.

Thanks so mush for joining me for my first ever Digit-al Dozen week!!! ♥
