Glam Polish: Heart of Darkness Collection - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

Glam Polish
Heart of Darkness Collection

Tonight I have Glam Polish's newest collection to show you called the Heart of Darkness Collection! This is a 6 polish collection inspired by the bad girls of literature/cinema/TV and they are in the new screen-printed bottles - same great square shape.

Continued after the jump...

We might as well just go alphabetically because I'm not sure I have a clear favorite this time - they're all stunning!

Bellatrix, was of course inspired by Bellatrix LaStrange, nasty witch from Harry Potter. It's a gorgeous green/grey/violet micro-flake shimmer polish in a darkened base. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. No issues at all - smooth and easy.

Elvira was inspired by the funny and loveable and not-really-as-mistress-of-the-dark-as-she-tries-to-act Cassandra Peterson. I honestly don't know if "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark" is still around but in the 80s she was EVERYWHERE! This one is a deep blue-toned purple base full of blue and purple micro-flakes that appear to be color-shifting. There's also a great scattered holo in there! Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. No issues at all - smooth and easy.

Lisbeth was inspired by Lisbeth Salander from the Millennium Series. I know a Dragon Tattoo is sorta bad-girl and so is Playing with Fire, but Kicking the Hornet's Nest it TOTALLY badass! This one is a grey creme/crelly base with light blue and pink glass fleck and a tightly scattered holo. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. No issues at all - smooth and easy.

Lydia was inspired by Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice! I'm pretty sure she was just misguided, fashion-wise. But then again, it WAS the 80s. This one is a blackened violet purple polish with loads of purple micro-flakes and I also see blue and red micro-flakes. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. No issues at all - smooth and easy.

Tiffany was inspired by something I will never watch. I watched Psycho and The Exorcist as well as all the old Vincent Price-esque B movies when I was VERY young and no problem, but toss in a scary DOLL and I'm OUT. Tiffany was The Bride of Chucky and I think I only made it through maybe 1/4th of Child's Play so I didn't even attempt Bride of Chucky! This one is a lovely violet berry pink scattered holo with what appear to be magenta, blue and maybe iridescent micro-flakes. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. No issues at all - smooth and easy.

And finally, Wednesday. Little Wednesday was the daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams from The Addams Family. A standard in my house through the 70s and 80s via syndication. I most related to Cousin Itt - because of my hair but I could be brooding like Wednesday too! This one is a blackened blue base filled with micro-flakes that are purple and blue or maybe just micro-flakes that color-shift from blue to purple. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. No issues at all - smooth and easy.

This is my favorite Glam Polish collection so far - not ONE isn't just absolutely stunning and those micro-flakes! As I said, it's hard to pick favorites from this collection but I guess Tiffany, Lisabeth and Bellatrix? What do you think? Favorites?
