piCture pOlish Unicorn - Swatches, Review and Nail Art

*This product is Cruelty Free

Well, I guess I liked this shade so much I swatched it twice!

Yes, I swatched it in October when I did Sizzle and Forget-Me-Not - and then forgot to show you!! Well tonight I'm fixing that. Unicorn is a Collaboration shade with my "nail crush" Brit Nails! So I knew I'd have to have hers.

Yes, you know I had to go there! It was just begging for 2 things. A matte top coat and a UNICORN HORN!

Don't worry though, I have real swatches...after the jump.

piCture pOlish Lagoon by Fashion Polish - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Tonight I have one of the new piCture pOlish Collaboration shades to show you - Lagoon. This one is a "glitzy turquoise sea in the sun" shade made in collaboration with Sam over at Fashion Polish.

Sam's goal: the perfect turquoise, the kind that shines and flickers and is reminiscent of sparkling waters and tropical lagoons.

I think they accomplished just that! Lagoon is a gorgeous, shimmery, sparkly turquoise with small turquoise glitters and holographic sparkles. When I first saw the description, I was a little sad because I was really hoping for this shade with just the sparkle and no glitter, but they added just the perfect amount and size and rather than detract from the polish, it compliments it beautifully. No issues at all with formula or application. I did use three light coats of this one just to make sure and eliminate any VNL (visible nail line) - my nails are extra stained right now. But I think 2 regular coats would work just fine. One coat of Poshe top coat for most of the photos. (*Without top coat photos will be indicated in the photo captions.)

Colors by Llarowe - Her Eyes Shined - Limited Edition benefiting the National Kidney Association

Press Sample
*This product is Cruelty Free

I have another polish from the new Colors By Llarowe brand to show you! This one is a glitter jelly from the Missing You Collection called Her Eyes Shined and the proceeds from the sale of this one benefit the National Kidney Association. This is a Limited Edition polish.

Her Eyes Shined is a turquoise green jelly polish with turquoise and blue micro-glitter. This polish can be worn alone in 3 to 4 coats or layered. I have some photos of it alone and layered over black. I didn't have any issues with this one, but it does apply like a jelly, so if you wear it alone, you will need several coats. One coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

Alone...

Dandy Nails Caught in the Crowd - Swatches and Review

Or..."Caught French Kissing in the Crowd" as an alternate title. *grin*

I couldn't even wait until this evening to get this post up. When I uploaded photos from my camera to the computer, I had to crop them RIGHT THEN.  Caught in the Crowd is in the blue color family so I hesitated getting it. What was I thinking???

Dandy Nails Caught in the Crowd is a glitter polish in a clear base packed full of medium and small turquoise blue square glitter pieces and  turquoise blue and (what looks like) copper and silver small square and round micro glitter. I am sure there's more in there than that because it really has depth and interest, but I'll let you try to identify the others.

First I'll show you what I did with it over Pure Ice French Kiss and then I'll show it to you over other polishes. I used one coat of Caught in the Crowd on the ring finger and did a sort of gradient on the tips of the other fingers. One coat of Poshe made it as smooth as glass.  Lots of photos because I just couldn't help myself. The only thing is I wasn't able to capture how SPARKLY it is in real life.
