13 Days of January Nail Art Challenge: Follow a Tutorial

Nothing to Disclose

It's FRIDAY! And today begins the 13 Days of January Nail Art Challenge. It's just a shortened version of Crumpet's Nail Tarts January 31 Day Challenge for those of us too busy for the full one. We will be posting on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays throughout January.

The first prompt is "Follow a Tutorial" so I chose one from @nadeekay on Instagram.

Here's her tutorial...

And my results on my first attempt weren't exactly stellar but I get the idea now and I think I'll be trying this one again. I may approach it from a different direction though.

But I do have to say, it's super cute at arm's length!

I used acrylic black over my current mani so I guess this is technically an Extend-A-Mani! Fancy Gloss Frozen Berries and Pipe Dream Polish VIP Pass (both purchased by me.) Not exactly color-accurate here though but I was trying to focus on the technique.

Be sure to check out the other great manis from the other nail artists in the links below!

If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!

  2. Hi Sheila, would you say purple or green is your signature color? I notice you use both of them a lot and they both go well with your coloring.

    1. Not just any "purple" but violet orchid. I tried for years to find stuff in that color and it finally it made Pantone's Color of the Year for 2014 - I bought all the things!
