Zoya Ignite Collection for Fall 2014 - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

Tonight I have the new Ignite Collection for Fall 2014 from Zoya to show you. This is the collection I wasn't prepared to like because I thought they were going to be metallics, which I really don't care for. But they're NOT!

Zoya Ignite Collection
Fall 2014

And in the shade they're REALLY gorgeous...

The Ignite Collection is 6 new shimmer shades in gorgeous Fall colors.

Continued after the jump...

All 6 of these had the same formula and application so I'll just address that here. NO issues. The formulas were creamy smooth and application was super easy. I do have to warn you about one of these being a stainer though. Remy (the blue/teal) is a definite stainer so use base coat and take special care when removing or your skin will be stained as well. I used two coats with no top coat for all swatches and have included both artificial lighting and indirect natural lighting/shade photos.

First I had to play around with them so I did a few quick gradients with the Entice collection as my base colors.

Both collections coordinate so well!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

And on with the swatches!

Yuna is a medium neutral-based grey full of golden shimmer/micro-flake particles.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Teigen is described as a "violet plum with copper liquid metal." I'd say it's more of a burgundy red with purple undertones. The abundance of gold and copper shimmers/micro-flake particles do give it a metallic feel though. You can see the purple coming out more in the shade.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sansa is a deep blackened purple base full of purple and gold shimmer/micro-flake particles. With one coat of this you can definitely see the purple, but on me, the second coat brings the base to a near-black.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remy is a dark blue base with teal, copper and gold shimmer/micro-flake particles, giving it an over all blue-leaning teal appearance.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

India is a deep rusty red full of gold, copper and even violet shimmer/micro-flake particles.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Autumn is a rusty, autumnal burnt orange/copper full of gold and copper shimmer/micro-flake particles.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I said, I wasn't really expecting to like these but I really did - mainly because they weren't metallics! My favorites are Sansa and Yuna. What do you think? Favorites?

  2. Not sure if my last comment came through so I am trying again. Lovely swtaches and combos and a gorgeous collection. Just wondering if you could compare Yuna with OPI Live and Let Die? I am sure they're very different but it's hard to picture in my minds eye. Does that make sense?

    1. Makes perfect sense! But I'm sorry I don't have the OPI to compare for you.

  4. Oh no! Just like Michelle Andrews, your gradients made me believe I need them all. I'll have to be on the lookout for comparison posts because I can't afford to get them all.

  12. O M G ! I am in serious trouble! I want them all! Those absolutely gorgeous gradients you did - you SHOULD hang your head in repentance for creating so many lemmings all in one fell swoop! I want every polish you used for them. Why is it that I had previously looked at a few of those cremes and went "meh" but then opened up your blog, see the gradients and it's "WOW".

I thought I was safe, and would have a little respite, from nail polish buying, for awhile since I like pastels and brights, and have not looked forward to the dark (dreary) fall/winter nails but THAT'S not happenin'. Guess I need to roust out my wallet from its' vacation-by-the-poolside-with-a-drink-in-hand that it thought it would have!

  13. I wasn't going to consider this collection until I came here. You're really dangerous :D
    Sansa, Remy and Yuna...*___*

  14. Loooove the gradients you did!! Remy didn't stain me which I thought was really odd because every other zoya blue stainer gets me bad every time no matter how many coats/which base coat I use. Maybe I just got lucky!

  16. Beautiful swatches!! And I adore your gradients as well! I didn't have any staining of the nail plate with Remy, but I was careful to avoid my cuticles with it because I was afraid of stains.

  18. This is nice! I like how the glitters merged with these nail colors ! It makes me think that I should try out the sparkly set up on my nails again. I would definitely find these items on stores nationwide.
