The Digit-al Dozen Does Decades: The Fifties!

Nothing to Disclose

The Digit-al Dozen is back for another fun theme week! This time it's DECADES! So today is The Fifties here at Pointless Cafe. There were so many ways to go, not just with the 50s but with every decade that it was almost an embarrassment of riches. The only thing that limited the choices is my ability (or lack thereof) so finally we find a positive side to limitations!

Well here's my offering for The 50s. I'm sorry it's not a poodle skirt and saddle shoes but I think it sort of captures what's now referred to as Mid-Century Modern, which back in the 50s was just "modern" LOL!

I used a base of Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu, which is like Chanel Nouvelle Vague but with a smoother formula, and Chanel Holiday, Zoya Piaf and Wet n Wild WildShine Black Creme for the designs. Everything is freehand except the thumb where I tried, yet again, to get a decent stamping image. It didn't come out nice and crisp so I used the dots to camouflage it a bit.

Here's Jengish Chokusu and my review here.

Come to think of it, I may have been able to cheat and just use those pics for the 50s!

Be sure and check out the other great Digit-al Dozen manis in the links below...

  4. Love these! I'm a huge mid-century modern fan, and your comment about it being just 'modern' then definitely made me chortle :)
