Superchic Lacquer
Day Tripper Collection

Today I have a new collection from Superchic Lacquers to show you called The Day Tripper Collection! There are 6 new shimmer polishes that are very Spring/Summer!

Continued after the jump...

We'll just go alphabetically...

Basking in the Sand is a semi-sheer neutral/sand shimmer polish with baby blue, pink and white shimmer/micro-flakes. I used 3 coats and no top coat for the photos. This one wasn't fully self-leveling so I do recommend 3 light coats rather than 2 regular coats.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hot Springs Dipping Hole is a shimmering ocean blue filled with what appear to be white/translucent shimmer/micro-flakes. Three light coats and no top coat for the photos. No issues with formula or application.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kissed by the Sun is a bright summer yellow shimmer filled with blue and pink shimmer/micro-flakes and maybe white or white translucent shimmer as well. Because this one has a cool tone and the shimmers are also cool-toned, this one is very wearable on my skin that is usually hated by yellows. This one also wasn't fully self-leveling so I recommend 3 light coats rather than 2 regular coats. I used 3 coats and no top coat for the photos.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pocket Full of Posies is a sweet, cool-toned Barbie pink shimmer filled with shimmer/micro-flakes in either white, white translucent or maybe silver? I can't tell but they really make it sparkle and shimmer. Three coats and no top coat for the photos. No issues to report.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunday Driver is a bright lime green shimmer polish with loads of blue micro-shimmer - this one is different in that the shimmer is smooth and not like the micro-flakes in the others. The green leans warm but the shimmer is a cool-toned blue and makes it totally wearable on my cool-toned skin. No issues to report. Three light coats and no top coat for the photos.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

White Water Rush is a clean, bright, non-stark white full of white, pale blue and translucent shimmer/micro-flakes and I *think* I even see green and pink so I'm not sure if the translucent micro-flakes are color-shifting or what. Whatever it is, it does the same thing as the ingredients in Basking in the Sand making it wearable for me where most whites aren't. No issues to report. Three light coats and no top coat for the photos.

  1. Beautiful swatches-- I'm liking Kissed by the Sun and Sunday Driver. But her pictures of the latter on her site make it look much less green and saturated than your pics. I like your pics better.

  2. That Basking in the Sand is gorgeous. I love the combo of the cream polish, with the blue hue in the shimmer. Gorgeous!

  3. So pretty! I like the white, green and yellow the best but they are all great colors.
