NailNation 3000: Limited Edition Polishes - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

Tonight I begin showing you some real beauties from NailNation 3000! I have eight "black box" limited edition polishes and we're going to start with four tonight. What a great way to start showing swatches again after the "spring crud" nearly did me in! *cough cough* (Insert much whining and gnashing of teeth here.)

Teaser pic of all 8 Black Box LEs I'll be showing you

The ones I'll be showing you tonight are available individually for $15.00 AND as a special Mother's Day Set (4 full-sized polishes and comes complete with minis of the NailNation 3000 base and top coats) for $60.00.

Continued after the jump...

One of the reasons I'm especially excited is this first polish I'll be showing you. It's called Pointless Cafe! Hey, that's ME! Now other than lending my name to it and specifying no glitter and no yellow, I had nothing to do with it's creation, conception, etc. But it turned out to be a PERFECT Pointless Cafe shade! She must really know me! It's classy and elegant (yeah, NO I'm not saying I'm classy and elegant - I only wish I were) and just such a lovely taupy holo!

Pointless Cafe is a taupy sand linear holo with a creamy, smooth and easy formula. No issues at all to report. The holo is a strong linear and it's opaque in 2 light coats. Shown here with 2 light coats and no top coat.

The Mercurial Magpie is a lovely scattered holo in a great ocean blue teal named after The Mercurial Magpie Blog. The formula was great and it's a one-coater! It's a smidge thicker than a couple of the other shades but smooth and opaque. I used one coat and one coat of top coat for the photos. I especially loved the micro-flakes that come out to play in the shade.

Château de Holo is a very complex wine shade with a scattered holo and so much depth! The formula on this one was smooth and creamy. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. The shade macro shows how lush and complex it really is. This is also a one-coater in my opinion if you want it to be. I just used two for depth.

Inner Flame is a hot pink loose linear holo. Also creamy and smooth. No issues with this one either except that it did stain a bit BUT to be fair I didn't use a base coat. I'm not sure how much or IF it will stain if you use a base coat. Two light coats and no top coat for the photos.

What do you think? Favorites? Will you (or have you already) grabbed any of these yet? Of course I'm partial to Pointless Cafe but if you've been following long you'll know it's not because of the name - it's just one of my favorite shades.

These polishes are available at the NailNation 3000 Store Envy shop here, alone or in a set for Mother's Day along with minis of her base and top coats. You can also follow along on the NailNation Facebook to stay informed and see more swatches!

If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!

  1. Nice swatches! I'm in love with your shade and thanks for swatching mine! I also didn't have a hand in creating it or....even knew about it until it was released and I haven't been sent a bottle yet so I've been way curious to see what it looks like on the nails! Pretty!
