Red Dog Designs - Young at Heart

Good morning! Happy Wednesday! This morning I have another Red Dog Designs polish from the Ol' Blue Eyes Collection to show you: Young at Heart.

Young at Heart holds a special place in my heart because 1) it's really pretty and 2) the name Young at Heart. Young at Heart is a song from the 1954 movie Young at Heart with Frank Sinatra, Doris Day and Ethel Barrymore and is typically shown around Christmastime. When I was a child, I would stay home on Christmas Day by myself, while the rest of the family went out in search of an open restaurant, watching It's a Wonderful Life, Christmas in Connecticut and Young at Heart. I did this for several years. I especially loved Young at Heart and both the song and the movie bring back a flood of memories.

This is a gorgeous blend of all different sizes and variations of pink glitters, lime and teal holo glitters, white glitters and microfine holo glitter - with pink hearts - in a clear base. Application and formula were great and I had no issues. The glitters spread nicely on the nail and laid perfectly flat with no digging for glitter pieces, special placement or dabbing required. I didn't even have to dig for the hearts! I layered this over a couple of different polishes so you could get a good idea of all of its nuances.

First over white (SoFlaJo White Sensation) on all but the accent nail which is a sheer, pale pink (Pure Ice Tickle Me Pink) and then over black (SoFlaJo Black Dagger) with a pink accent nail (Pure Ice Gossip.) One medium-to-heavy coat of Poshe.
