IsaDora Frosty Chestnut, Blue Diamond and Brisk Yellow

I've been crazy busy and sinus-y so I didn't get a post up yesterday. I try to do at least 6 a week and I actually did seven I think, but only over 6 days. I still feel bad when I don't post every day though.

This evening I am going to show you three polishes that were sent to me from a very special person in Denmark. We did a swap and she had her sweet daughters pick out these polishes especially for me. ♥ I swatched them before I cut my nails short so no, my nails grow fast, but not THAT fast!  Anyway, thanks so much, Marie-Luise ♥!!!

First up is IsaDora Frosty Chestnut. I loved it and I think I wore it for three days, which is saying something since I usually change once a day or once every two days at most.  It's a gorgeous shimmery chestnut brown that positively glows!  Formula was good, application was smooth and I used two coats for full opacity. The name says "frosty" but it's not really a frost. No streaks, no "frost" look.

Next up is IsaDora Blue Diamond, which oddly IS a frost. It's quite sheer so I'm showing it to you on it's own with FOUR coats and over a random blue (accent finger) with two coats. Application was okay for a sheer, but sheers have always given me problems. I'm just not as used to them I suppose. There was no streaking, though.

And finally we have IsaDora Brisk Yellow. This isn't one I would have EVER picked out myself because of my pasty white skin, but I am surprised at how much I like it! It's really a gorgeous color, even if not the best on me. I'll still wear it, though. That's the great part about swaps...you get things you wouldn't have tried on your own. Formula on this one was smooth and application was easy. No issues at all. It applies like a creme and has a great subtle shimmer. Two coats for full opacity.

  1. I ♥ Frosty Chesnut. And the yellow actually does look good on you! I only say that 'cause I know how yellow is on us pale-skinned people. LOL

  2. I am so happy that their choices were someone you liked - Liv chose Frosty Chestnut(which I thought you would love) and Silja chose Brisky Yellow. The blue they both had their hands on and loved. So did I, because of the subtle glass fleck like shimmer that it seemed to have in the bottle. Funny that it is frosty and sheer, but it looks awesome layered.

I <3 you right back, it was a magnificent swap experience!!!

  3. Btw, Brisky Yellow looks like what YSL Jaune Surrealiste should have been, opacity wise!

    1. It is WAY better than Jaune Surrealist! I loved the finish on this one and hated the YSL one.
