Zoya Matte Velvet Collection: LE for Holiday 2014 - Swatches, Review and Nail Art

*These products are Cruelty Free

Tonight I have swatches and review of the 6 re-issue matte velvets from Zoya, along with NAIL ART!

Zoya Matte Velvet Collection
LE For Holiday 2014

Continued after the jump...

Since I've swatched these before, I've just got a few shots of each one along with some nail art.

These come in the classic Zoya bottles except these are frosted. All are matte finish polishes and are not meant to be used with base coat or top coat. I've used two coats for all polishes with no base coat and only a top coat where indicated. No issues with any of them other than they are the typical matte formula. They dry very quickly and do not like to be over-manipulated. Apply one thin coat, let dry and apply the second coat without going over and over it.

Dovima is a matte black polish with silver and a smattering of blue shimmer.

Below I've done an accent nail using Posh, Dovima, Loredana and the toothpick marble technique.

Top coat on the accent nail to show how they shine!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Harlow is described by Zoya as a rose plum. To my eye, it's a gorgeous violet purple with tons of violet and silver shimmer.

On the accent nail below, I've used Dovima to frame the nail and top coat to bring out the glorious shimmer.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Loredana is a silver-grey matte polish full of silver shimmer.

Below I did a floral mani using Dovima, Veruschka and Harlow.

With top coat...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Posh is a velvety blood red matte with bright red shimmer.

With top coat...

Below, I've done a simple freehand lattice using Savita, Veruschka, Dovima and Harlow. The Posh base is with top coat and the lattice was left matte...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Savita is a deep royal purple matte polish with violet shimmer.

Below I've just done a top-coated accent nail to bring out the shimmer...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And finally, Veruschka is a deep green matte polish with kelly green shimmer. (And with top coat, you can even see random blue shimmer peeking out!)

With top coat on the accent nail below...

And I did a quick gradient with Veruschka, Loredana and Posh. These gradient SO well!

Favorites? Mine, of course, is Harlow. How could it NOT be? Everyone (and their dogs and guinea pigs and chinchillas) were bummed last year because they only re-issued 4 of the 6. Well aren't you happy now?? What are your favorites?
