I showed you Christian Louboutin Rouge Louboutin here and tonight I have another in this line to show you called Daffodile.

Swatches and review after the jump...

I ordered Daffodile because I love grey and I loved the formula and wear time on Rouge Louboutin. I was hoping it was a straight up grey that didn't lean blue or green, but I couldn't tell from the bottle shots and I couldn't find swatches online.

Well, it's actually not a straight grey, BUT it turns out it's one that is unique to my collection! There are lots of taupes out there with grey in them but this one is a grey with taupe in it. It's as far toward taupe as a grey can get and still be grey. It's actually a perfect balance and a bit hard to describe. The formula is creamy and smooth like Rouge Louboutin was but it's not quite as opaque. This one needs two coats where I think you might get by with one of Rouge Louboutin if you tried. But I do two coats anyway, like most of you. I didn't put on a top coat for the photos so you could see the true finish.

What do you think? I honestly loved it. The color is unique (and I have a LOT of greys and taupes) to my collection and it really goes great with my skin tone (very pale, neutral-to-cool) so I'm very happy I chose this one.

I got this one from Neiman Marcus. Other retailers: Sephora, Nordstrom and direct from the Christian Louboutin site.

$50.00 USD/14mL

    1. Well I'm not sure ANY nail polish is worth $50 a bottle. But that didn't stop me. LOL! And I guess if any polish was going to be "worth it" this one will do. The formula is fantastic. Am I getting the entire line? Absolutely not. But hey, if they can sell it for $50 then more power to them I say! I'm pretty sure I'll end up with a few.

  3. Glad to see that the quality of the red you tried was not a one-off and that this one is also great!

  4. With the original Rouge, I didn't like the red polish as much as I loved the bottle. With this one, I'm loving the color. wow.

  7. I like rouge louboutin! What I do not like at all is the brush because it's way too thin. What do you guys think?

    1. I love the brush because it's like the Chanel brush. But I have pretty narrow nails.
