Nail Polish Auction for Basset Buddies Rescue, Inc.

If you've ever seen my blog even once, you probably know that not only am I a huge dog-lover, I am a huge advocate of rescuing dogs.

When Carrie with Darling Diva asked if I would tell my readers about an auction, including Lynnderella, Girly Bits, Smitten, Crowstoes, Oopsie Daisy, Mosaics, for Basset Buddies Rescue of course I said I would! (You can check Darling Diva out on Facebook here.)

So here's the deal...

Basset Buddies Rescue, Inc.

Certified for eBay Giving Works since 2012. MissionFish nonprofit ID 57078.

An all volunteer 501C3 Non-profit dedicated to the re-homing and rescue of Basset Hounds.

Location: Milwaukee, WI 53213
Web address: http://bassetbuddiesrescue.org

And here's the Mission Fish link to the auctions, which are live NOW! Also, this will be going on for a week or two so keep an eye out for new things to be added!

My dogs aren't Bassets but they are rescues. Wanna see?

This is how they help me blog...ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Actually I'm not sure if Twinkie was a rescue or not but I got her when both of her mommy AND daddy both got called to Iraq at the same time. Smartest. Dog. Ever.

Twinks

Murphy was definitely a rescue. He was in such sad shape when I got him. Skin and bones, sick, shredded pads, scared to death of anything with a handle like brooms or mops. Just look at my big healthy boy now!

Murphy

And Bailey. She was about 6 weeks old when her family moved away in the middle of the night in the South Texas August heat, leaving this baby with no food or water or shelter. Just a baby! And look at HER now! And she's still not done growing. She's about 6-7 months old right now.

Bailey

So, please go check out the auction and if anything strikes your fancy, please bid knowing you will be helping the Basset Buddies Rescue. ♥

  2. Your dogs are gorgeous! I love that you are so dedicated to animals. You are actually the reason I am trying to go cruelty free myself. The polish part I don't find to be so hard - there are some glorious cruelty free indie brands! I find it much harder with skin care and make-up. Is everything owned by L'Oreal??

  6. Just got my first rescue dog. Someone dumped her on the side of the road at 3 months old. We found her and took her to the shelter to see if anyone was looking for her or if she was chipped--but no...all she had was a bad case of mange. Because she's a pit they were going to put her down and there was no way we were gonna let that happen! So now we have 4 cats and a doggy. :)

  8. Aww they're all so cute. I never understand how people can just abandon their pet when they move. I can't imagine how awful that is for the pet, it's just devastating D:

  9. Love your beautiful babies! Have 3 rescues and one, who is a german shepherd/pit mix even looks a bit like Bailey. While I am too late for the auction, if you ever do something like that again, any dog cause is a good cause and I would definitely participate. Like I read today, "Roses are red, violets are blue. I'm a big mutt but I still love you". I <3 my mutts!
