Milani Cosmetics Color Statement Lipstick

Nothing to Disclose
*These products are Cruelty Free

Tonight I have a different sort of post for you - something I don't normally do for sure...Lipstick!

The reason I don't normally do lipstick is because I can't show it on my lips. Well, I could, but trust me, no one wants to see that.

But since Revlon discontinued (well, CHANGED) their ColorStay line and since Revlon is no longer Cruelty-Free, I've been on the hunt for a good, thrifty lipstick. So far, I haven't tried Chanel lipstick - 1) because of the price. While I can spend the $$ on a polish, I can't seem to bring myself to do it for a lipstick and 2) I'm really afraid I'll fall in love with them.

Well, the other day, while scanning Walgreens for something I hadn't tried already and hated, I found a new display of Milani Color Statement Lipstick. So I picked up a few. And I love them!

They don't taste wonky - major plus for me even though I know it doesn't bother most people. They go on smoothly, feel creamy and are really well-pigmented. They don't last ALL day, but they last longer on me than anything I've tried since Revlon ColorStay (pre-formula/packaging change and pre-non CF status) so I thought I'd show you the ones I got. Also, once they've been on for a few minutes, they sort of "set" and don't come off as easily. They're not "smear-proof" exactly, but they're as good as those others that CLAIM to be but aren't. I'd say these are comparable to the Maybelline Vivids as far as color-staturation, but they don't dry out quite as much. (Plus Milani is CF while Maybelline isn't.)

What do you think of these? Are they Chanel? No. Are they worth the $6 bucks? Absolutely.

I got these at my local Walgreens for $5.99, but you can also get them on-line at the Milani site for $5.49 each.

If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!

  1. I am so glad you posted those! I've been looking for a LIPSTICK - not a gloss ('cause I'm not a fan of gloss usually). I had thought about trying these but didn't want to waste my money. Great post! I think Orange-Gina will be my first!

  2. Thx! I will check them out. I got some on a beauty swap site. I could keep one of 3....rancid. But the one I kept is very nice. I have to have Orange-Gina for sure!!!! I <3. Walgreens!

  3. from the bunch I like plum rose and orangina But wonder if orangina makes your teeth look Yellow
