It's SO hot here today I felt like cooling off a little with an icy cool polish - Today I have Ice Queen by KBShimmer Bath & Body for you.

Ice Queen is described by the maker as follows:

Holographic glitters float in an  almost clear polish, slightly silver blue in color. We start with micro fine  glitter, move to several hex glitters and finish with scattering of large  diamond glitter.

Type: Glitter Top Coat

Glitter Load: Heavy

Glitter Size: Micro to Large

Recommended Coats: 1 over color

I used one coat of Ice Queen over a violet creme polish, but it can be layered over any color. No issues at all with formula or application. Everything came out of the bottle nicely and spread evenly on the nail. No fishing for glitters or dabbing required. One coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

Another "short and sweet" one this morning for you!

Dior Black Sequins. I'm slowly expanding my horizons. I would have NEVER worn black nail polish until recently and I still really don't wear a straight black creme or black matte. But this one is a great compromise for me. This isn't just your plain ole black. It's not even a plain black with silver shimmer.

Application was typical Dior. Smooth and easy. Two coats for opacity.

But what makes this one unique?

Let's take a closer look...

That's not silver shimmer - it's irregularly shaped small FLAKES!

And this next photo isn't very good as I've scratched the top coat, but it's the only one I took where you can see that it's not just a straight silver irregular flaky particle...do you see the blue??? Dior doesn't do anything "typical."

I just love it and other than the blacks I use for layering/underwear, I think this one might be the one I can wear alone!

Dandy Nails Through Glass - Swatches and Review

Dandy Nails Through Glass

Dandy Nails Through Glass is medium holographic hex glitter pieces and holographic flakies suspended in a clear base with loads of silver micro-glitter.

First I'll show it over a plain black creme. Here I've used Milani High Speed Fast Dry One Coat Black Swift. Keep in mind that all the medium hex glitter and flakies are holographic, which I'm not very good at capturing. Easy one coat application with minimal "manipulation" of the hex glitter pieces. Shown with one coat of Seche Vite on top.

And over grey (Kiko Grigio Granite)

I actually love it over everything, but my favorite is over the navy. The holo pieces really POP!
