The Cake is a Lie Collection

Happy Saturday! Today I have a new collection from Pahlish to show you that is releasing tomorrow evening: The Cake is a Lie Collection!

All of these 5 had the same formula and application and the same finish, actually. Flakes and sparkle and a smattering of holo shimmer. The lighter shades needed 3 light coats to cover my very prominent nail line and the darker ones were great in 2. The formula was really magnificent on these. Below there are photos of each in full sun, artificial lighting and shade. I did run out of sun on Maybe Black Mesa, but I was able to get a bit.

---------------------------------------------------------------

I'll start with my favorite!

Combustable Lemon II - I used 2 light coats and one coat of top coat. It's an intense neon red-leaning orange crelly with a mix of red, gold and holographic flakes and what looks like a smattering of holo shimmer.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dangerous Muted Lunatic -  I used 2 coats with one coat of top coat. This one is a medium-to-dark turquoise/teal crelly with a mix of green iridescent glitters and gold and holo flakes with a smattering of holo shimmer.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intelligence Dampening Sphere - I used 2 coats with one coat of top coat. This one is a bright ultramarine blue crelly with holo flakes and shimmer and violet blue shimmer.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Married (to Science!) - Two coats with one coat of top coat. This one is a deep raspberry pink crelly with iridescent orange glitters, pink and holo flakes and holo shimmer.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe Black Mesa - Two coats and one coat of top coat. This one is a violet-toned black crelly (or maybe a very blackened violet purple?) with violet and purple glass fleck and holo flakes and shimmer. I'm sorry the sun didn't stay out for this one. It's really stunning.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you think? Favorites? Mine are Combustable Lemon II and Maybe Black Mesa. The formula and application on this whole collection really blew me away. It's almost like they apply themselves. And if you've been reading long, you know I'm picky about formula and don't say that lightly.

This collection will be available Sunday, January 17th at 7 pm CST at the Pahlish Big Cartel Shop. These will retail for $11 each or $50 for the set.

Also, be sure to follow Pahlish on Facebook and Instagram for more photos and information.
