Crème à la Mode Quarterly Box - Swatches and Review

Press Sample
*These products are Cruelty Free

Hold onto your hats, ladies (and gents) - tonight I have a BRAND NEW nail polish box to show you! And this one was made for me! Okay, well, it wasn't really made for ME, but it was made for creme-lovers like me.

The new Crème à la Mode Quarterly Box is a quarterly box of four fashion-forward creme nail lacquers delivered right to your door at a discount you can't pass up!

Meet me after the jump for my swatches and review...

First, a few details:

This box launches for PRE-ORDER starting August 17 and going through August 23. Boxes are expected to start shipping to fill all pre-orders by September 1, 2015.

These boxes will retail for the low price of $26 plus shipping, so in the US the total will come to under $30. ($26 is $6.50 each!) After the boxes are shipped, they will offer the polishes at full price in their shops, as well.

The makers in the Crème à la Mode Box are:
Literary Lacquers
Octopus Party Nail Lacquer
Digital Nails
Indigo Bananas

Now anyone who has been reading my blog for any length of time at all will know I'm a creme-lover through and through. There's something so elegant and fresh about a plain creme. And even when I do nail art, my base is almost always a creme finish. So I'm pretty stoked, if you hadn't picked up on that yet LOL!

I was so pleased that all 4 of these dried to a very shiny finish so I decided to show you all of them without a top coat so you could see for yourself. Of course, I top coat anyway just to protect and prolong the mani, but yeah...so shiny! I tried to get sun and shade pics but the sun was a bit shy.

Indigo Bananas Dark Side of Maroon - this one is a lovely berry creme.  Two coats and no top coat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Literary Lacquers Bluestocking Romance - this one is a navy creme. Two coats with no top coat.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Digital Nails Tauping Mechanism - this one is a taupe creme. Two coats and no top coat. (And how clever is that name?!) My skin is very pale and cool in tone so you can almost see how it pulls just a hint of green out of the base. It reads as a grey-based taupe on me.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer - this one is a red creme. Two coats with no top coat. It's one of those great reds that is neither warm nor cool in tone until you put it on and your own skin tone dictates. On me this one reads like Chanel Dragon.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

And guess what? They all stamp well! Again, something my long-time readers will know is that I am really not good at stamping. At all. I do keep trying though! But I did want to show you that all 4 of them stamp so I did a quick stamping mani for you.

I used one of the new plates I got from ÜberChic when I got the Über Mat. It's UC Plate 2-03.

And this was happening while I was trying to take pics in the front yard without all the neighbors thinking I'm a nutcase...so I get judgment from the dogs instead!

--------------------------------------------------------

So what do you think? I've been silently grabbing up indie cremes for a while, but they're not as plentiful as other finishes. So it's about time, I say. And I can't even pick a favorite here because I can see me wearing all 4 of these alone AND as bases for nail art. I had no issues with any of the formulas. No streaking or dragging or balding at all. They've got it DOWN!

You can pre-order these from the Crème à la Mode Big Cartel shop here, again, starting August 17th through the 23rd. $26.00 for all 4 polishes. Shipping to commence on or about September 1, 2015. It will be a quarterly box and after all pre-orders are shipped, each maker will sell the polishes at full retail.

You can also find them on Facebook here for more information and swatch photos as they become available.
