butter LONDON Lillibet's Jubilee - Swatches and Review

Today I'm excited to show you butter LONDON's Lillibet's Jubilee!

This is a Limited Edition polish created especially for the 60th (jubilee) anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne in Britain.

butter LONDON Lillibet's Jubilee

butterLONDON.com describes it thusly:

"This commemorative colour honours the international celebration marking the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s accession to the throne. Lillibet’s Jubilee is a silvery, lavender metallic foil, heavily infused with holographic glitter."

Lillibet was, apparently, Queen Elizabeth's childhood nickname. Or if it wasn't, it's now her nickname as far as I'm concerned, thanks to butter LONDON! (Sorry Lillibet!)

This polish applied extremely easily, especially for a foil! I used two coats out of habit, not out of necessity, as it's perfectly opaque and streak-free in one coat. Very smooth formula. I like that it's not a straight silver metallic foil but has a lavender tint that makes it somewhat unique in a sea of metallics. That's pretty difficult to do these days.

The only complaint I have about Lillibet's Jubilee is that it's described as being "heavily infused with holographic glitter." I didn't find that to be the case. I'm only disappointed because of the description because I actually think I like it better without the holo glitter. There's a tiny bit, but you have to look hard for it. So do not expect to see holographic glitter. Sorry.

Now on to the photos. No clean up, no top coat...

And lest you think it doesn't have a lavender tint...here you can see the difference

My skin tone doesn't look its best in metallic silver foil, no matter how much I like it, but the addition of the lavender really helped! What do you think? Will you be getting this L.E. polish?

butter LONDON polishes are available at butterlondon.com and selected retail stores like ULTA and they retail for $14.00 for .4 ounces. To stay up-to-date on special deals and offers, you can "like" them on Facebook here. Lillibet's Jubilee is just one of the over 60 colors they offer, in addition to various indulgences for your hands and feet...and even your lips. The nail lacquers are 3-free and butter LONDON is a Cruelty-Free company. That's a major plus for me.

  1. I was disappointed with the "heavily infused holos" too! Bad description, but I love the polish which is something for me because I really don't like foils! :)

  12. It is really pretty and I think it might be the silver foil that I have been looking for.
The main reason why I like this polish is that it appears to be streak free, and I absolutely hate streaks above everything.
The other reason is that my nails are curvy, which, in my mind causes foils look a bit like an old ladies polish (I know I know, ahaha), but this one with this lavender twist might have that little something different that makes my day.
Thanks for the review and swatches!
