Thrifty Thursday! Sort of... OPI Chopsticking To My Story

I think this qualifies for a Thrifty Thursday entry because Ulta was having a 2 for $10 OPI sale on some older collection polishes. So I picked up Chopsticking to My Story, which looks like a Pumpkin Spice Latte to me! Fitting for the rare "cold front" that blew in last night. It's from the OPI Hong Kong Collection for Spring 2010.

Standard OPI creme formula, goes on great, great brush leaving no clean up necessary. This one took 3 coats rather than 2 for me to get the opacity I wanted, but certainly, less persnickity people could get by with two.

I don't actually drink pumpkin spice lattes - but I am having a plain ole cuppa joe and wearing my sweater and boots! (Don't get to do that very often here in extreme southern Po-Dunk.)

Chanel Vendetta Swatch

Short post - just wanted to show a swatch of Chanel Vendetta.  It's a very interesting purple that is dark enough that it reads black on me indoors. Most dark and even some semi-dark polishes read black on me because my skin in the color of bleached flour. Bah!

Day Seven of Sinful Colors Swatch Fest - Nirvana

I didn't get this post up yesterday because I'm STILL messing with setting up and installing software on the new computer. Geesh that stuff sure gives this luddite a headache!

Todays Sinful Colors entry is Nirvana. It's a taupy mushroom color that's a dupe or near dupe for probably 10 others I already have. Yes, apparently, I like this color!  The application was fine and was opaque in 2 coats. No complaints and no raves, other than it was $0.99!!!

Indoors under softer lighting, the brown tones come out more.

The last photo show the truest color in most lighting, in my opinion (and on my monitor.)

Again, I have at least 10 others this color. I'd grab this one over the others only because it's the cheapest. It's not the best formula that I have and it's not the worst.

Day Six of Sinful Colors Swatch Fest - Mercury Rising and Rich in Heart

This one is a double swatch because I'm still not completely sure Rich in Heart and Mercury Rising are different polishes. LOL! If they are, the difference is subtle.

The application was very smooth on both and covered in one coat, but I used two.

I just love the richness of these browns and the shimmer that makes them glow.

Rich in Heart may be a tad darker and Mercury Rising may have slightly more red undertones.
