Nail of the Day: Pahlish's Bespoke Sarey's Berry for mah Birthday!

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Well could there BE a more perfect polish for me to receive and wear on my birthday???? (Yes, I typed that in Chandler's voice.)  Seriously though - it's MY COLOR! And it has flakes. *thud*

The only problem with it is that it's so flipping hard to photograph color-accurately!

Artificial lighting was the worst...

Ah, okay. Indirect natural lighting. This is better...

Check out those FLAKES!

It's THE perfect violet orchid crelly flake polish. Just the right amount of purple and red-violet combined with loads of flakes. Great formula - 2 coats and one coat of top coat for the photos. Just amazing.

So I may have put my matching "birthday laces" in my Chucks and just partied like it was my birthday!

And my iPhone/IG "action shot" in the car...

Since this was a Bespoke polish, it won't be making a reappearance I don't think. Although something similar might! So be sure and keep an eye out for Pahlish's Bespoke polishes. I don't think there's been a bad one yet! Bespoke Batches are limited edition and one-time-stock polishes. This is due to ingredients not being available anymore or the cost being too high to produce as core colors. The prices vary. She usually puts these up on Friday evenings when they're available.

As for the regular polishes, you can purchase Pahlish on their Big Cartel site here or at Overall Beauty or Llarowe. Polishes retail for $9 and $15 for Duos.

You can also visit Pahlish on FacebookOverall Beauty on Facebook and Llarowe on Facebook for more information.

Nail of the Day: Elevation Polish XXH-14

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Happy Tuesday!!! This morning I have an awesome polish that I don't want to take off - ever. Alas, I must. I'm working on several new polishes for you but I had to drop in real quick to show you this stunner. A really sweet fellow polish-lover (and Whovian) sent me a decant of her OOAK (One of a Kind) from Elevation Polish that I drooled over and wasn't fast enough to grab...XXH-14! Thank you Diana! ♥

And I'm trying out my new Ottlight I got at Jo-Ann the other day for 50% off!

This is one of my favorite shades of polish EVER and the micro-flakes are just perfect!

Of course this one isn't available to purchase, but you can check out all the other great Elevation Polish creations at the Elevation Polish site here.

The SBPs (Small Batch Prototypes) and One of a Kind polishes are hard to grab but it's possible on the restocks if you're fast. The other polishes - regular collections - aren't not difficult to grab though.

My Violet Orchid Franken

Nothing to Disclose

I've had several requests over the last 6 months or so for me to show my violet orchid franken. This one came about because I just couldn't find this polish, even among all the indies!

It's not for sale and NO I don't intend to start "making polish." LOL!

Now when I say franken, that's what I mean...to me that means taking already existing polishes and additives and combining them to "tweak" them to a color you're after...like Dr. FRANKENstein making his "monster." This is not to be confused with creating your own polish line by using raw supplies, suspension bases, matte bases, pigments, glitters, etc.

No way could I do what they do, unfortunately. I would love the creative part of it, of course, but I couldn't handle the 10 kajillion other things they have to deal with.

So I just call this Violet Orchid. I've nearly run out of the bottle I made so tonight I've tried to make myself another bottle. It's not exactly the same because you know I didn't write it down. That would have been too easy. The new one doesn't have as much spectraflair and it's just about 1/2 a shade off. But it's still my all-time favorite color.

I don't have proper bottles so I've used what I had on hand. LOL! The Sinful bottle is the first one and the Borghese top coat bottle is tonight's attempt.

So there it is. My favorite color ever. It's a red-leaning violet. Meaning it is violet that leans to the red side of violet on the color wheel rather than the purple side of violet.

I will ALWAYS purchase polish if they make the color I want because 1) I am not good at it and 2) I love to support indies and my favorite brands. And I hope eventually I find this exact polish made by a proper maker.

Ideally, it would be a one-coater (like this one) or at most a two-coater - creamy formula, with the sort of holo a-England does so well.

I have several that are close to this and I love and wear them often. But this exact shade just makes my lil ol' heart go pitty-pat.

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Oopsie Daisies
Secret Admirer

Oopsie Daisies is a new-to-me brand and you might know that the first one I picked is MY color! Seriously, this shade of violet orchid is just perfection and probably the best shade for my bleached flour white, cool-toned skin there is.

Continued after the jump...
