30 Day Challenge - Day 29 SUPERNATURAL INSPIRATION

I'm a huge Twilight Zone fan so this one was a no-brainer - especially since I've already done Doctor Who. I've probably seen every single episode at least 8 or 10 times and I still watch some of them again when they air the Twilight Zone marathons on the holidays.

30 Day Challenge Day 28 - FLAG INSPIRATION

DAY 28 - INSPIRED BY A FLAG

I like flags. I've done flags. The Scottish Saltire is my favorite to do - it's easy and it IS my favorite country and where I want to live someday. But I've done it more than once - see here.

I also have Irish blood and love Ireland. But I've done that one too - see here.

I'm from Indiana, but have you seen their flag? Too hard. I live in Texas now so a brilliant friend suggested that one.

30 Day Challenge Day 27 - ART INSPIRATION

I love all kinds of art from realism to abstract and most things in between. So this was hard. Pop Art is probably one of my least favorite genres. I can appreciate it, but I don't love it. BUT while I enjoy creating on canvas, my lil nails just make it so hard for me!  And Pop Art seemed easiest. And you know me - always looking for the easy way!

So this is what I came up with...I even added a bit of naughty humor. hehehe

30 Day Challenge Day Nineteen - GALAXY NAILS!

I've done Galaxy Nails so many times. I've called them Galaxy Nails, Space Nails, Nebula Nails, etc. And each time I do it, it isn't nearly as good as the time before for some reason so I'm really cheating here. But I'm making up for it in later days with challenges I would have NEVER tried before with nail art I never thought I could do. SO...

I couldn't begin to tell you how I did this as tutorials aren't my strong-suit. Basically I started with a base of black creme and layered a color-shifting topper. Then I sponged on various other polishes in random patterns. Topped with a clear-based glitter and a coat of Poshe.

Here's what I used: Chanel Lilac Sky, Pure Ice Heartbreaker, SoFlaJo Call Forth Dragons, Savvy Deja Blue, Pure Ice Black Rage, Nails Inc. Garrick Street, Orchid Starry Night, Pure Ice Super Star and Poshe Top Coat

And THIS, Folks, is why I don't stamp. It's just too hard! I picked a really easy one and still couldn't manage it! I used Pure Ice Jack Pot as my base and stamped with Pure Ice White On the Spot.

30 Day Challenge Day Thirteen - ANIMAL PRINT!

I don't really stamp. My few attempts with the $10 drugstore kit weren't great. So...once again I took the easy way out! LOL! The only animal print I thought I had a chance at free-handing is leopard so that's what I went for.

For this mani I used a base of Nails Inc. Hampstead Gardens and Oakley Street sponged together, leopard dots with Nails Inc. Holland Park Avenue and the black is Glitter Gal Serpent Black, which I WON from Kim at Overall Beauty! It's a little messy but at arms length you can't tell so I'm actually pretty happy with this one!

30 Day Challenge Day Ten - Gradient Nails

Day TEN - Gradient Nails!  The only gradients I've managed to pull off so far are glitter gradients, so that's what I went with again.

Since we are really trying to use untrieds from our stash, I chose Lynnderella the Garden of even layered in a gradient over Barry M Indigo for this challenge. I was really surprised how much I really like Barry M Indigo! And I didn't have any issues with formula or application. The Garden of Even did really look like it was in a clear base, but it is slightly milky. I don't know if it's intentional or if there's bleeding, but it's there.

30 Day Challenge Day Nine - Rainbow Nails

Hard as I try with nail art, I'm still hit and miss. I'm proud when I can show you the "hits" so I figured it was only fair to show you the "misses" too. Plus I just didn't have it in my to re-try. Tonight was a miss.

When I saw that today was RAINBOW NAILS day, I decided to give this one a shot because it looked SO COOL when Jacki over at Adventures in Acetone did it (click here to see hers) - she called it a "spun sugar" mani and it looked awesome. Unfortunately, I didn't pull it off like she did. I guess I don't have the patience required and mine is gloppy. But I will try it again!
